If you disagree with something going on in this community say so here. If you don't have the balls to call bullshit on something here maybe you shouldn't be here. I don't expect that everyone here will be lock-step in agreement. This is another reason why this place is here, to get feedback. No one is ever going to get kicked out for disagreeing with what others are doing.
Membership is screened and all members have to be approved. Getting a current member to vouch for you would speed up the process. Recently created journals must have a current member vouch for them. Friends only journals need to friend one of the maintainers or get a vouch from a current member before approval. All applicants must make a comment to this post telling us why you want to join and how you found this community.

You might be wondering why I'm "crusading." It's because of this: I'm tired of my community under the (at best) mockery of the press and (at worst) absolute fear of the mainstream. I'm tired of fluff bunnies adding to this problem. I'm tired of the misinformation that they spread. Misinformation in this regard can be dangerous, if not deadly. Even if "not many teens poison themselves" through herbs, the press will hear of it, they will connect it to paganism, and then more damage will be done to the community that I've been a part of for more than half my life. I'm tired of seeing that "for only 100youtoocanhavethesacredathamethattheancientdruidsused."I′mtiredofpeopleclaimingthatMorriganisakindgoddessorthatKaliwasreallymisunderstoodandisasmotheringasMotherTeresa.I′mtiredofsomuchofthepurecrapthat′sbeenspilledintoourcommunitybyauthorslike100 you too can have the sacred athame that the ancient druids used." I'm tired of people claiming that Morrigan is a kind goddess or that Kali was really misunderstood and is as mothering as Mother Teresa. Are you getting my drift?
My home is, and continues to be, invaded regularly by idiots. And, I'm done with that.
So now, I'm going to fight the fire of stupidity with the fire of information. I'm going to make sure that people who are online and reaching out to learn can see that, indeed, there are people who take this seriously and that it's more than wish fulfillment fantasy. They know that magic is out there, they want it in their lives - now I'm going to be a part of some of the people willing to show them how to get it. No, I'm not going into the other forums to do name calling or baiting. I'm going to use the socratic method of teaching, and call people on any bullshit that I find. I'm going to reboot the brains that have crashed because of the virus of idiocy. For those who are actually interested in learning from a teacher (don't get me started on that one,) I'll even show them the steps on how to get in contact with someone who's reputable in their own community. There are true questors of knowledge out there who don't know that there are places like nonfluffypagans. I'm lighting a path to NFP's door. I think it's needed, and for me, I'm serious about doing so.
What about being kind and using "soft" techniques? It's been done. For the last several years, it's been done. The fluff keeps getting worse. It's about time that some strong individuals stand up and say: "fuck the llewiccian rede."
