This community is for Pagans who want to snark or post quoted snarks about almost anything. What we post here is snarkiness that you would find on other LJ communities, elists, blogs, chat rooms, message boards, personal email, and even offline "real world" activities. Please note that while your post does not have to necessarily cut to the quick your post should contain sarcasm, not just bitching about something. If there is no sarcasm in your post you should expect at least one other member to complain about the lack of snark. If you just want to bitch about something go post in 
pagan_bitch.
A word from a prestigious member juliaki on snarkage, or the lack thereof...
Lately we've had a rash of folks coming through who post a link to a message where it simply is a disagreement between two or more individuals (generally a disagreement in terminology, traditions, or belief systems). IMO, that doesn't truly capture the essence of a snark. A snark is something where you take that which is already ridiculous (inherent snarkworthiness) and provide some form of commentary that utilizes some form of technique (i.e., reductio ad absurdum or non sequitor) to provide a "zinger"... some sort of comeback that brings laughter and spit takes to members of the community. If you're unable to do it (most often in the case of being totally dumbstruck by a comment), then post the specific section that strikes you as astonishingly stupid in the hopes that other people can provide the humor that you cannot.
In other words, cite what precisely is it that you're finding funny, and take it to the next humor level or hope that someone else can do the work for you. It's a refined art... feel free to read some of the other messages here to get a feel for it all.

DO NOT come here in hopes of gathering troops for a "Witch War", to start a pissing contest, or just to start a flame fest here. If you have a legitimate beef with someone I suggest you take it to Witch_Wars2 (Yahoo!Group). To clarify, this means you can't post asking for people to come gang up and trounce on someone somewhere else, you're perfectly welcome and encouraged to point and laugh though. Which is to say, that yes, you *can* link to what you're in reference to here.
DO NOT repost entire posts from elsewhere, use a link or paraphrase.
DO NOT make non pagan related political posts. This means you can snark about Starhawk or other BNP's who make political statements about pagans in general but you can't snark about non pagan politicians or non pagan specific politics.

If posting graphics or videos you MUST put them behind a lj-cut. This is not an option. It is actually preferable to just post a link to the graphic or video rather than embedding them in your post.

To protect our members friend pages from crapflooding, and other nasty nonsense, we are moderating posts and monitoring membership to keep out trolls and sockpuppets of trolls, so there may be a bit of a wait between the time you post your entry, and the time your entry appears on the community. Please be patient and don't post the entry multiple times - that won't speed the process up at all. If you apply to join with an alias/secondary journal you will most likely be rejected. If your posts are being moderated and you feel you should have unmoderated status please contact the HBIC with a request. It also might help if someone were to vouch for you.
If you get booted and wish a reconsideration contact the HBIC for an appeal.
