Bu calismada, degisken kesitli kirislerde cokmeler ile buna sebep olan dis yukler arasinda kurulan dorduncu dereceden diferansiyel denklemler sonlu farklar yontemi ile cozumlenmistir. Bu amacla bir bilgisayar programi gelistirilmistir. Literaturde konu ile ilgili yer alan orneklerin gelistirilen bilgisayar programi ile cozumu sonucunda sonlu fark bolum sayisi ile degisken kesitli kirisin belirli noktasindaki cokme degeri arasindaki iliskiler tablo ve grafikler seklinde sunulmustur. Bu sonuclar sonlu elemanlar yontemi ile elde edilen sonuclarla karsilastirilmistir.

In this study; specially orthotropic laminated plates are modeled and equilibrium equations are o... more In this study; specially orthotropic laminated plates are modeled and equilibrium equations are obtained. These equilibrium equations are solved by finite difference method. A computer code is developed for this purpose. Depending on the finite difference mesh size the correct plate mid-point deflection value is determined and displacement of the mid-plane are obtained. Specially orthotropic laminated plates having Navier SS-1 boundary conditions at the four edges are analyzed for various loading conditions. Some examples which are taken from literature are solved and it is observed that our results are in good agreement with them.

For the perforated circular plates, the basic problem is determining how they have a perforation schema for the most suitable design. For this purpose, 10 different perforated circular plate models were presented and their static analysis was studied. All of the models have the same open area percentage but different number of holes. In this way, it was more convenient to compare the results. The circular plates were analyzed under their self-weight and uniformly distributed load with different nine thickness to diameter ratios obtained based on Classical Plate Theory. In addition, two set of analyses have been performed on the circular plates for fixed supported and simply supported boundary conditions. Metal ceiling tiles can be used for a variety of space, including commercial, office and other pu... more Metal ceiling tiles can be used for a variety of space, including commercial, office and other public spaces. They are widely used for suspending ceilings and other architectural applications in a range of different perforation patterns to suit both mechanical and aesthetic requirements. These perforated panels made of steel, aluminum, bras, etc. are also known as stamping plates or sheets depending on its thickness and area of usage. In this study, perforated ceiling tiles are modelled as rectangular thin plates with various hole patterns which are simply supported on all its boundaries. The main idea is to find out the effect of the holes on the bending behaviour of the perforated plate which is the governing attitude of a ceiling tile. The other parameters which determined about the behaviour of the plates are deflection, moments and stresses. The analyses were performed on various models systematically by number, diameter and location of holes. As a result of these analyses the relationships between the applied force and maximum values of internal forces have been calculated by using APDL codes based on Finite Element Method to find out the optimum hole pattern. According to analysis results; 3D graphics are developed to design proper hole patterns for Regular Perforated Metal Ceiling Tiles.

The expressions and graphics which are applicable to industrial plates with multiple circular holes and simply supported on 4 sides that made of according to ASTM A992 are presented. All of the plate examples were analyzed statically under self weights using ANSYS. The square plates with multiple circular holes examined to different number, radius and locations. Finite element mesh dimensions were almost the same in all of the examples. One side of the square plate was changed then the plate thickness was also changed according to plate dimensions so the analysis results were compared properly. Number of circular holes and maximum deflections at the midpoints of the plates graphics were presented to indicate the effects of geometric discontinuities.
