[ mood | devious ] Hello all my beautiful redheads! I started this community on Feb 5th 2002!! So it's been over 14 years! I would love to see people start to posting here again. I see we still have 500+ members. So...Hopefully some of you are still around?? Let me know!I have not personally posted here in well over 10 years but everything is still here to see which is AWESOME...and I honestly thought times had changed for redheads but I recently watched a documentary called "Being Ginger" about a handsome young redheaded guy and the reactions he gets about being a redhead and wow the mean stuff that people said to him..made me so sad. Watch the trailer here: https://youtu.be/nyt0wXLKrMY this was filmed in 2014 so things have not REALLY changed much especially for Redheaded men (women yes) but it seems in the Scotland where the movie was filmed you'd assume if anywhere it would be totally acceptable THERE but there's STILL prejudice against redheaded men there and he proves it in a funny and lighthearted way. I personally think some redheaded men are hot... just like I think SOME blonde guys are hot. What I like about redheads in general is their personalities. Hands down. And YES I 100% believe that redheads have different personalities. Not sure if that is because of nature or nurture but it seems that all redheads are very similar and BAD ASS. Maybe it's because we put up with so much crap as kids we had no choice but to be bad asses. haha!I would love to see your beautiful faces!!

So apparently I only post once a year.... *sheepish*. I would pull the usual "now that I have a computer of my own, maybe this will change" but that would be a downright lie. [ mood** | stressed ] Well, great balls of fire, I AM alive!Since living on my own for a year, I have no computer, and have to be an Internet hustler, grabbing some 'net time wherever I can. As such, I'm never in the mood to make posts of this nature, or any nature. Well, even if I were in the mood, I never have the time, I rarely have the time to check messages, let alone write them. Hopefully will be getting a computer of my own when my tax return comes. Reeeally, really hope. Am losing my mind, going sometimes 3 weeks at a time without sitting in front of cyberspace!Some of these are as far back as Easter, if you wonder at the change of hair lengths.( Onward.Collapse )**No promises, but will try to update a little more regularly. hello there - this is my first post. i'm a natural redhead, but the thing that i can't stand about my hair is how thin it is. i've never seen another redhead with hair as thin as mine - usually they have thick, incredible hair. i've kept my hair shorter for years, but recently i've been growing it out. however, because it's so thin, i think it may be time to bring in the scissors again. guess i'm just here to get some opinions, and say that redheads ROCK. =)( onto the picturesCollapse )

[ **mood** | curious ] I watched this rerun of the reality show Millionaire Matchmaker. A very beautiful redhead comes in to be in the "dating pool" of women and Patty (the over surgerized Cougar who runs the business) says that redheads are not the "freshest produce in the market" and tells her she can only stay if she gets rid of the red hair. I'm proud to report she left with her beautiful red hair.So is there some sort of backlash against redheads in the dating world? My BF loves redheads and is very happy with mine and would not prefer to be with some blonde or brunette version instead. It seems stupid to me that there would be people who would date based on hair color since so much of it is fake anyways. Have any of you experienced this sort of bias? I was shocked to hear her be so dismissive of all redheaded women on TV.
