[ mood \| tired ] Stupid question...Am I the only guy that reads/posts in this community? It seems like everyone in this community is female.I could research it, but I'm too lazy.

Today changed my life.Follow your dreams has always been something to live by for me. My dreams are not in Indiana. You can always take the risks involved to get to your dreams, but you can regret not taking the risks if you don't. You know, if things don't work out in California- then I can just come back. That's all there is to it. I was told that there would be 3 spots open for the mallet section. AH. I want something and I want to go after something that I could possibly have. The hardest part is having to put everything I have and have had on the line, and not knowing if I'll even get it. But, the only mistake I can make now is NOT going. What do I have to lose? And what could I gain? There's always a chance in everything and anyone. There's always a chance in life that you have to take... I am taking that and I am so scared.What if I don't make RCC...If anyone has any advance, please- help me out.

Yay, I finally got some pics for you all to see!( Behind the cut...Collapse )That is just some pictures. I dont have one of every member of the drumline but I'm sure you dont really care, lol. I hope you enjoyed them!

Yesterday was my drumline's first practice of the season. It was 3 hours long. We got this new guy named Hank that is going to be helping out. I heard he was badass at quads. Our main instructor is Blair Winslow but he also does Salem so he cant be there all the time. Now with Hank we can have someone with us at all time, which is good. Anyway, all we did the whole 3 hours was work on exercises. The basics. Cause if you cant do the "easy" stuff then you cant do the harder stuff. We set up two long boards of wood and used our sticks to play on them. No drums. Just a board. (I want my drum!) We mainly worked on this 16th note exercise. I wasnt that great at first because of the way we had to play it. I'm used to having my sticks vertically not horizontally. I have no clue when we will get our music. Have any of you gotten yours?As soon as I get them saved I will post some pics of us so you know who the hell we are, lol. ^_^
