Everybody has a place that means happiness every time we are there because it is part of our childhood. But the dream is often broken by carelessness and pollution.
When I was younger I used to go on holiday in the country propriety of my paternal grandparents, in the southern part of Enna, central Sicily, and to sit down on a rock watching the town, trees, mountains, always exploring with my eyes the Monte Etna Volcano that dominated the horizon’s skyline: I was really captured by the view of that good giant that I considered a friend in my daily life in Catania, my home-town.
Recently, after many years, I came back there and it was a great blow to me to see a great rubbish discharge near there: there is a bad smell in the air, some arsons had been destroying all the trees, the little animals had died and nobody owns those hills!
The question is: how can the Enna’s Mayor allows this disaster? He should improve the recycling and the differentiated rubbish harvesting project!
I’m sure everybody agrees with me: the Mayor shall have to do something about this because of to safeguard our dream-places and well-being.
