- Last week, we welcomed over 300 local business owners from across all our markets to Yellow Park for the 2nd edition of Partners Day. This event was all about strengthening commercial relationships with our partners and exploring new ways to grow together. Our leadership team, including CEO Oscar Pierre, VP of Marketing Alex Menal, Head of Partners Ads Fabrizio Ajo`, and Commercial Director Rafael Narvaez Gracia, shared insights into our ongoing efforts to support local businesses and the positive impact we’re making together. Special thanks to external speakers Mark Elwell, Global VP at PepsiCo Away from Home, and Oriol de Pablo Morató, Co-Founder of VICIO, for providing valuable industry perspectives. Local businesses are at the core of Glovo. We collaborate with more than 160,000 shops and restaurants across 23 countries, with 90% being small and medium enterprises (SMEs). Through initiatives like our Glovo Local programme, we aim to go beyond logistics by offering tools that support business owners in driving digital transformation 📈

This weekend, we hosted the 2nd edition of our Impacathon, a 48-hour challenge with 7 teams, all sharing a mission: drive impact and sustainability everywhere we go. Over two days, 42 participants brainstormed, prototyped and pitched innovative ideas to tackle environmental and social challenges across our value chain by leveraging technology.🌍💡 We welcomed our Co-Founder, Sacha Michaud, our CTO, Shiro Theuri and Glovo leaders, Majdouline El Idrissi, Eugene Kalashnikov, and Ankit Padliya, as the jury for the final pitching session, bringing their expertise to judge the winner of the teams. A big shoutout and thank you to this edition's participants who made this weekend an incredible experience, highlighting creative solutions to drive impact and sustainability. 🌟And a special congratulations to the winning teams: “Glovo Gleaf”: Carbon emission prediction model using vehicle type, distances and route optimisation to mark stores as sustainable based on the customer's location. “Glovo Piñata”: A basket of short-dated products offered at a reduced price to help reduce food surplus and support local businesses. Stay tuned as we build on these ideas and integrate them into our 2025 sustainability strategy, driving impact at the core of our business. -

As COP29 kicks off, the global focus on decarbonization and the push for clean energy sources is more important than ever. The conference is focused on pushing forward efforts to reduce carbon emissions across industries and finance the transition away from fossil fuels. 🌎 At Glovo, we play our part in the conversation, working towards reducing our carbon footprint as part of our 2030 environmental goals. Since 2019, we’ve been measuring both our direct and indirect CO₂ emissions, with a focus on reducing carbon intensity (emissions per order). Despite our business experiencing significant growth, we’ve reduced our CO₂ emissions per order by 13.30% in the last 4 years. This progress is driven by a range of initiatives, including: - Encouraging partner restaurants to reduce or eliminate single-use plastic packaging - Minimizing food surplus - Promoting sustainable deliveries with bicycles and electric vehicles - Increase operational efficiency - Switching to renewable energy in our facilities We’re continuously working on investing and scaling our impact & sustainability projects across our 23 countries to keep reducing our carbon footprint and contribute to a more sustainable future 🌱 -

Last week, an extremely severe flooding struck Valencia, in Spain, heavily impacting local communities. At Glovo, we mobilized quickly, forming a crisis response team to monitor the situation and stay connected with affected stakeholders. We activated a donation bubble within the Glovo app, enabling users to support the Cruz Roja Española (Spanish Red Cross). Every donation goes entirely toward humanitarian relief in Valencia. We believe businesses have a role to play in disaster relief. We can all do our part in contributing to the situation by providing meaningful support to communities and partners in times of crisis. -

🌎 This month, we hosted a very special edition of the Global All Hands at our Hero Campus in Berlin, bringing together our brands, leaders, and live streaming to all our employees in around 70 countries. 🎤 The session was moderated by our CEO, Niklas Östberg, and featured some brand CEOs and members of the Delivery Hero Management Team discussing the importance of authentic leadership, collaboration, and continuing to aim higher. 🏆 We also got to enjoy some healthy competition, with our brand CEOs joining a CEO Challenge where we tested their knowledge of Delivery Hero’s history!
