fantasy art posting community
I was going through the art show at BayCon, like I've done dozens of times before, but this once I was marking down the names of artists. I wanted to go online to download some of the images to use for backgrounds on my computer & livejournal. It was while doing this I got it into my head to set this up...
...easier way to keep track of the links.
Rules:
Given the subject matter, expect this to not necessarily be a worksafe community. I don't expect a great deal of posts featuring nudity but men & women wearing very little are common to this type of artwork.
Each post should only be a single image. We're a kind of LJ·cut friendly place...in the sense that we don't much like them. I've a couple comms like this, most notably Comix, so you don't need a cut unless the image is excessively wide. Up and down big is okay for the most part.
If you're into making icons of this theme you may post multiples of them without a cut. Please use the full width available to you if you're posting icons in excess of 50; place a small space between each icon so it doesn't stretch the left and right unto infinity!
Any depictions of sex, regardless of species, should be under an LJ·cut.
It is preferred you not direct link your content. Download and re·host the image first.
Livejournal allows for the specification of content type for posts; usually located on the lower right of the update page. Options are No Adult Content, Adult Concepts, & Explicit Adult Content. Please make use of this as you see fit...but any nudity should be that middle one.
When posting put the title of the piece in the subject line. This community allows for tags but I ask that you only put the name of the author down as a tag.
You can probably safely view this on your friendslist at work but keep in mind...you do so at your own risk. Make use of the Friends Filter (Clicky!) in viewing your friendslist. It's really a good idea in most circumstances.
If you want to advertise any kind of community please do so at We·Need·a·Life and not here. I used to allow advertising in any of my communities if it kept to the theme of that community but I'd like to cut down on that a bit...until it dwindles to nothing.
