Monstruário-(e)feitos (a)pós and other stories is a project rewrites a story through a second loo... more Monstruário-(e)feitos (a)pós and other stories is a project rewrites a story through a second look on images or objects relating to spaces and people, focusing on their transition and rehabilitation. In this sense, it is proposed a journey through my origins and the origins of others, in the context of the archive and memory, sometimes faithfully, sometimes affected by the (dis)organization of the proofs. This way, this project approaches to the relation between the familiar and the unfamiliar, including an unknown person whose stories hesitate between the real, the story told by word of mouth, testimonies and the images correlated with them. Monstruário also consists of an analysis of the working process through a focus on the direct manipulation of the media. The fundamental issue focuses on an idea of return, after mediation and recombination of the proposed moments' fragments and a reflection on the relations with space, action and the remains of their experience. This project has been divided into three distinct dimensions/domains which complement each other. This document consists of the written part of the project. In addition to descriptive references and research it contains a component of fictional text related with the notion of work. The second component is understood as a fragmented and symbolic atlas of images that is, despite of its autonomy, various times invoked to establish a confrontation between the word and the image. These two components make the bridge to a third episode that stills open, and consists of the exhibition of the completed practical work on Casa da Imagem, Porto.
