Hey this is the place to post images from female photographers or if you're a female photographer, post your own! Text posts welcome also. Guys too as long as they're respectful. Now join and post!
ps. this is a new community so it might seem a bit slow at first but remember: little drops make the mighty ocean. Rome wasn't built in a day :) The way to eat an elephant is one bite at a time, or whatever your favorite proverb is. so join and make this community something you can enjoy, share, learn and be inspired by!
Community Rules
Some posts you're going to like, some you're going to love, some you're going to hate. We're not all going to agree at times and that's fine. But be respectful. If you don't agree with something, use constructive criticism or just ignore it unless anti-female, then see point #4.
If you use nudity, put it behind an lj-cut and note that it contains nudity. Some don't agree with it, some cruise the net at work/school-so whatever their viewpoint, put it behind a cut. Those who want to see it, will; those who don't, won't.
If you don't know how to use lj-cut go here: http://www.livejournal.com/support/faqbrowse.bml?faqid=75If you're posting a huge image or more than one, put it behind an lj-cut.
Once again:
http://www.livejournal.com/support/faqbrowse.bml?faqid=75I'm not a fan of censorship but my main intention for the community was for it to be a place for female photographers (amateur, professional, the curious) to come together to post and share images. Photography has typically been a male dominated hobby/occupation for the majority of its existence so i feel that even by just picking up a camera, you're making a statement. I want this be a place where people can feel free to share and learn, so yes that means no anti-women posts. Well, you might be challenging a perspective, but be careful. My point is you wouldn't go to a concert that is a fundraiser for Afghani women and hear songs about rape. So use common sense.
