It is true that in the last few decades, the main global environmental issues such as air, land and water have become a serious problem. One of the major causes is human activity. This essay, will analyze the potential problem suggest some possible solutions to this issue. In general, there are three causes of environmental pollution. Firstly, the enormous concentration of greenhouse gases produced by industries, cars, which deteriorate the condition of air. In addition, the deposition of sold or liquid waste materials on land can contaminate the soil, and then threaten public health. Last but not least important is water pollution, when drinking water is contaminated by poisonous pollutions, moreover, this pollution is generated by the human activity. For instance, every person uses personal cars, which produce harmful greenhouse gases, such as carbon dioxide, sulphur dioxide, consequently, these gases lead to serious disease, such as asthma, bronchitis. In addition, in the world a lot of species die of water pollution related illness every day. Furthermore, about 90 per cent of water in China is polluted and approximately 580 people in India died of water pollution the last few decades. On the other hand, the governments should take more efforts to reduce pollution. Firstly, by making public transport more convenient, so that people can use them instead of their personal cars, which will save more energy and air condition from contamination. Secondly, they can show through social media or campaigns, how we can protect our environment and more people learn about the importance of the environment. In addition, the governments should introduce laws to limit deforestation in many countries around the world. For instance, in the UK have independent environmental charity called “Keep Britain Tidy”, this organization campaigns to reduce litter, improve local places and prevent waste. To sum up, there are many ways to solve these issues of environmental pollution, both governments and individuals can protect our environment and have their own responsibility for this.
