What is this all about?
Yakitate!! Japan is a manga about bread. Yes, you read that right, about bread. But don't let that fool you into thinking that it's boring or lame, 'cause it's actually one of the funniest mangas there is!

Where can I get it?
Yakitate!! Japan manga has been licensed to North America by Viz Media and the first volume should be out on Fall 2006. Show your support when the official translation comes out, let's hope they do a good job!

And yes, from now on, all posts concerning scanlations should be friends-locked. Just to play it safe, folks.

The anime is currently being fansubbed by Anime-Empire, you can get their releases via bittorrent or from their IRC channel (#anime-empire @ irc.chatspike.net).

I want to join the community, any rules I should know about?
Nothing special, just the basic rules you have in every community:
- no flaming, bashing, or general wanking. I'm sure everyone's capable of reasonable discussion, yes?
- spoilers always under a cut, with proper warnings.
- fanart/fiction/icons are more than welcome, even encouraged, but please post these under a cut, again with proper warnings.
- this community is gen/het/yaoi/yuri-friendly, so I expect the members are, too. Meaning that we all can live in peace, even the het- and yaoi-fans.
