In this study, the 34th etude of the book Czerny Op. 299 that is one of the commonly employed boo... more In this study, the 34th etude of the book Czerny Op. 299 that is one of the commonly employed books in the piano training was analyzed in terms of technique and harmony. The etude was examined in terms of its technical features and contributions to technical development. If an etude is analyzed before it is played, time and effort can be amanged much more efficiently. In turn, it may contribute to play the etude or work in accordance with its objectives and to produce outcomes. The aims of this study are to make the students aware of the goals and methods of etudes and to provide them with the suggestions for studying. It is suggested that any etude written with the 2/4 rhythm pattern should be played very vividly and energytically. Any etude written in the octave width of 5.5 is made up of 43 scales in two section. The etude is composed of two sections, each with four sentences and two periods. It also involves 43 scales. Of them, 16 scales are in the first section and the remaining 27 scales are in the second section. The etude has very regular system in terms of harmonic continuity and motives. It has a homogenious pattern in terms of the order of the sentences with half

The aim of this study is to reveal the student classroom teachers' perceptions about the course o... more The aim of this study is to reveal the student classroom teachers' perceptions about the course of music through the metaphor analysis. For this aim, the metaphoric concepts developed by the participants were analysed in terms of their themes and their statistical significance was found. The study has a qualitative descriptive method of analysis. At the Faculty of Education at Gaziosmanpaşa University where the study was conducted a total of 200 student classroom teachers attend this course. All of these students participated in the study. However, 38 of the questionnaires were not suitable for the data collection. Thus, 162 forms were used. The findings of the study indicated that the student classroom teachers developed a total of 59 metaphorical concepts to describe the course of music. Then the themes were developed based on the answers of the participants regarding their justification for the metaphorical concept. A total of 18 themes were identified. The themes identified are as

The study was conducted in Tokat Private İlgim Schools, with 4, 5 and 6 year-old preschool children in the 2018-2019 academic year. The education was conducted with a total of 50 students, 29 being boys and 21 girls. The research data were collected through the Günalp self-confidence observation test that is applied to preschool children. At the end of the 10-week experimental period, the impact of creative drama education on self-confidence of preschool children was tested. SPSS program was used for data analysis. "ANOVA" was used in the comparison of the levels of self confidence by hometown, number of individuals living at the household, status of parents, number of siblings, child's birth order in the family, economic status of the family, age of starting school, caregivers before starting school, education level and occupation types. Results of the study showed that there was a significant difference in self-confidence development of preschool students as a result of creative drama studies. No statistically significant difference was found in the self-confidence development of students in terms of gender, hometown, number of individuals living at the household, status of parents, number of siblings, child's birth order in the family, economic status of the family, age of starting school, caregivers before starting school, education level and occupation types of parents. There was a significant difference between preschool students' self-confidence in proportion to their ages. It was seen that musical creative drama activities make a positive impact on the self-confidence of preschool students.

This study has compiled documents that will carry out the argument. It is possible to say that the main phenomenon that causes the emergence of sound is vibration. Sound is produced when the atoms of an agent vibrate back and forth, emitting energy. This vibration makes the air, liquid or solid form around the catalyst vibrate, and the moving air carries the emitted energy in all directions. Incorporating sounds into the definition of music; The perception of compatibility and meaningfulness of a sound varies according to the society in which one lives. Whether the sounds heard are music or noise consists of subjective perception in the context of society and culture. Societies likely perceive sounds that are familiar to them in a genetic or geographical context as music by qualifying them as harmonious and intelligible. The major object of the courses included in the undergraduate music teaching program is to provid... more The major object of the courses included in the undergraduate music teaching program is to provide the student teachers with the knowledge and skills that they need. Therefore, these courses have similar and parallel contents. The aim of this study is to analyse the relationship between the undergraduate students' academic achievement in their various field courses. For this aim, the study attempts to answer the following research question: "Is there any relationship between the academic achievement of undergraduate music education students in the courses of musical instrument, piano, hearing and voice?". In the study, quantitative correlation design was employed. The participants of the study are first-grade undergraduate students attending Gaziosmanpaşa University, Faculty of Educational Sciences, Department of Fine Arts, Branch of Music Education during the academic year of 2011-2012. Total number of the participants is 24. The relationships between the scores of the fields of hearing, voice and musical instrument are analysed through the Pearson Product-Moment correlation coefficient.
Test anxiety, which emerges due to various reasons, can negatively affect students' academic achi... more Test anxiety, which emerges due to various reasons, can negatively affect students' academic achievement and future careers. Particularly, it was aimed to study on the young individuals who were evaluated with the performance output and to examine test anxiety of fine arts high school students according to various variables. The relational screening model was used in this research. The study includes the music students studying at Tokat Fine Arts High School in the 2019-2020 academic year. The data collection process was based on voluntariness. 85 (90.4%) of the music students consisting of 94 students in total were included in the research. In this research, the demographic information form prepared by the researcher to describe the demographic characteristics of the participants and the Turkish version of the Kenny Music Performance Anxiety Inventory (Tokinan, 2013) were used. In this research, no significant difference was found between the participant students' gender and anxiety scores. In addition to the studies reaching this result. When the anxiety scores were compared by age, no significant difference was found between them. In the research, when the anxiety scores were compared according to grade level, a significant difference was found. It was determined that the anxiety level increased according to the grade level of the students; however, it was seen that the 12th-grade students were the most anxious ones. When the performance test anxiety states of the students were examined according to the variable of educational level of the mother, it was seen that there was not a significant difference between all dimensions and total scores. 1/3 of the mothers participating in this research are primary school graduates. When the performance anxiety states of the students were examined according to the variable of educational level of the father, it was seen that there was a significant difference between total anxiety, negative performance perception and physiological sub-dimension scores. ÖZET: Milli Eğitim Bakanlığı'nın bilişim ağı olarak kullanılan (EBA) Eğitim Bilişim Ağı, Yenilik ... more ÖZET: Milli Eğitim Bakanlığı'nın bilişim ağı olarak kullanılan (EBA) Eğitim Bilişim Ağı, Yenilik ve Eğitim Teknolojileri Genel Müdürlüğü tarafından tasarlanan, 2012 yılından itibaren FATİH projesi kapsamında öğretmenlerin ve öğrencilerin ihtiyaç duydukları ders materyallerini çevrimiçi sunan bir sosyal eğitim platformudur. Bu platformda sınıf seviyelerine uygun, güvenilir ve doğru e-içerikleri öğrenci ve öğretmenler arası paylaşıma olanak sağlarken aynı zamanda kendini belli aralıklarla güncellendiği bilgisi yer almaktadır. EBA bilgi teknoloji araçlarının etkin bir şekilde kullanılarak eğitimcilerin materyal kullanımına faydalı olması; öğretmen ve öğrencilerin ürettikleri içerikleri sunma imkânı sağlaması amaçlanarak tasarlanmıştır. Bu çalışmada, EBA platformunda var olan müzik dersleri dokümanlarının incelenerek çözüm önerileri getirilmesi amaçlanmıştır. Çalışma, EBA platformunu üzerinden müzik derslerinin daha etkin yürütülmesine katkı sağlaması açısından önem taşımaktadır. Araştırmanın bulgularına göre diğer derslerle karşılaştırıldığında oldukça sınırlı sayıda yer alan Müzik dersi ile ilgili dokümanlar dikkat çekmektedir. Platformun müzik dersi sokağı isimli bir uygulaması da bulunmaktadır. EBA içeriğindeki video görüntüleri, ses kayıtları, müzik uygulamaları, e-dergi ve e-kitaplar incelenmiş; müzik materyallerin sayısının diğer branşlara göre daha az olduğu gözlemlenmiştir. Eğitimcilerin bu konuda kapsamlı bir şekilde çalışarak oluşturacakları yeni müzik materyallerini EBA'da paylaşması sonucu bu platformun müzik eğitimindeki etkisinin artacağı düşünülmektedir.

Therefore, these courses have similar and parallel contents. The aim of this study is to analyse the relationship between the undergraduate students' academic achievement in their various field courses. For this aim, the study attempts to answer the following research question: "Is there any relationship between the academic achievement of undergraduate music education students in the courses of musical instrument, piano, hearing and voice?". In the study, quantitative correlation design was employed. The participants of the study are first-grade undergraduate students attending Gaziosmanpaşa University, Faculty of Educational Sciences, Department of Fine Arts, Branch of Music Education during the academic year of 2011-2012. Total number of the participants is 24. The relationships between the scores of the fields of hearing, voice and musical instrument are analysed through the Pearson Product-Moment correlation coefficient.

Particularly, it was aimed to study on the young individuals who were evaluated with the performance output and to examine test anxiety of fine arts high school students according to various variables. The relational screening model was used in this research. The study includes the music students studying at Tokat Fine Arts High School in the 2019-2020 academic year. The data collection process was based on voluntariness. 85 (90.4%) of the music students consisting of 94 students in total were included in the research. In this research, the demographic information form prepared by the researcher to describe the demographic characteristics of the participants and the Turkish version of the Kenny Music Performance Anxiety Inventory (Tokinan, 2013) were used. In this research, no significant difference was found between the participant students' gender and anxiety scores. In addition to the studies reaching this result. When the anxiety scores were compared by age, no significant difference was found between them. In the research, when the anxiety scores were compared according to grade level, a significant difference was found. It was determined that the anxiety level increased according to the grade level of the students; however, it was seen that the 12th-grade students were the most anxious ones. When the performance test anxiety states of the students were examined according to the variable of educational level of the mother, it was seen that there was not a significant difference between all dimensions and total scores. 1/3 of the mothers participating in this research are primary school graduates. When the performance anxiety states of the students were examined according to the variable of educational level of the father, it was seen that there was a significant difference between total anxiety, negative performance perception and physiological sub-dimension scores. The study has been conducted in the fall semester of 2018-2019 academic year in Turkey with Tokat University Faculty of Education, Fine Arts Education Department Music Education Program students (n = 77). For data collection, "The State-Trait Anxiety Inventory" developed by Spielberg et al. (1964) and adopted to Turkish by Öner and Le Compte (1983). The trait anxiety inventory was applied in a time period when the students were away from exam stress. The state anxiety inventory, on the other hand, was conducted just before the final exams. According to the results of the study, when the state-trait and total anxiety of the students receiving musical instrument education in Music Teacher Education Program is examined, it was found that there is a significant difference between trait and state anxiety, that female students' trait and total anxiety levels are higher, and the male students' state anxiety is higher; when it is considered in terms of instrument differences, it was seen that students playing stringed instruments have higher anxiety than those who play bow and wind instruments, A significant difference was found in terms of academic achievement scores in undergraduate freshman and senior students who have higher anxiety .

The study was conducted in Tokat Private İlgim Schools, with 4, 5 and 6 year-old preschool children in the 2018-2019 academic year. The education was conducted with a total of 50 students, 29 being boys and 21 girls. The research data were collected through the Günalp self-confidence observation test that is applied to preschool children. At the end of the 10-week experimental period, the impact of creative drama education on self-confidence of preschool children was tested. SPSS program was used for data analysis. "ANOVA" was used in the comparison of the levels of self confidence by hometown, number of individuals living at the household, status of parents, number of siblings, child's birth order in the family, economic status of the family, age of starting school, caregivers before starting school, education level and occupation types. Results of the study showed that there was a significant difference in self-confidence development of preschool students as a result of creative drama studies. No statistically significant difference was found in the self-confidence development of students in terms of gender, hometown, number of individuals living at the household, status of parents, number of siblings, child's birth order in the family, economic status of the family, age of starting school, caregivers before starting school, education level and occupation types of parents. There was a significant difference between preschool students' self-confidence in proportion to their ages. It was seen that musical creative drama activities make a positive impact on the self-confidence of preschool students.
ÖZET: Milli Eğitim Bakanlığı'nın bilişim ağı olarak kullanılan (EBA) Eğitim Bilişim Ağı, Yenilik ... more ÖZET: Milli Eğitim Bakanlığı'nın bilişim ağı olarak kullanılan (EBA) Eğitim Bilişim Ağı, Yenilik ve Eğitim Teknolojileri Genel Müdürlüğü tarafından tasarlanan, 2012 yılından itibaren FATİH projesi kapsamında öğretmenlerin ve öğrencilerin ihtiyaç duydukları ders materyallerini çevrimiçi sunan bir sosyal eğitim platformudur. Bu platformda sınıf seviyelerine uygun, güvenilir ve doğru e-içerikleri öğrenci ve öğretmenler arası paylaşıma olanak sağlarken aynı zamanda kendini belli aralıklarla güncellendiği bilgisi yer almaktadır. EBA bilgi teknoloji araçlarının etkin bir şekilde kullanılarak eğitimcilerin materyal kullanımına faydalı olması; öğretmen ve öğrencilerin ürettikleri içerikleri sunma imkânı sağlaması amaçlanarak tasarlanmıştır. Bu çalışmada, EBA platformunda var olan müzik dersleri dokümanlarının incelenerek çözüm önerileri getirilmesi amaçlanmıştır. Çalışma, EBA platformunu üzerinden müzik derslerinin daha etkin yürütülmesine katkı sağlaması açısından önem taşımaktadır. Araştırmanın bulgularına göre diğer derslerle karşılaştırıldığında oldukça sınırlı sayıda yer alan Müzik dersi ile ilgili dokümanlar dikkat çekmektedir. Platformun müzik dersi sokağı isimli bir uygulaması da bulunmaktadır. EBA içeriğindeki video görüntüleri, ses kayıtları, müzik uygulamaları, e-dergi ve e-kitaplar incelenmiş; müzik materyallerin sayısının diğer branşlara göre daha az olduğu gözlemlenmiştir. Eğitimcilerin bu konuda kapsamlı bir şekilde çalışarak oluşturacakları yeni müzik materyallerini EBA'da paylaşması sonucu bu platformun müzik eğitimindeki etkisinin artacağı düşünülmektedir.

Müzik eğitiminde temel çalgı olarak kabul edilen ve teoriden uygulamaya değin her boyutta müziğin belkemiği sayılan piyano; genelden özengene, özengenden mesleki müzik eğitimine kadar pek çok boyutta (solo, eşlik, armoni, kontrpuan, işitme eğitimi ve kompozisyon vb.) müziğin içselleştirilmesinde önemli görevler üstlenmektedir.
Diğer yandan, piyano öğretiminde; geleneksel müzik kültürümüzün unutulmaksızın gelecek kuşaklara aktarılmasına katkı sağlayacak farklı boyutlarıyla, Çoksesli Türk Müziğine yönelik çalışmaların yapılması, okul müzik eğitimi açısından ayrı bir anlam taşımaktadır. Bu süreçte makamsal müziklerimizin piyano ile seslendirilmesinde ses sistemi(tampere) ile ilgili çıkabilecek sorunlar, besteci tarafından toleranslı yaklaşımlar sergilenerek bertaraf edilebilmektedir.
Bu anlayıştan hareketle; M. Serkan Umuzdaş tarafından belli teknik ve müzikal düzeye ulaşmış öğrencilere yönelik olarak hazırlanmış olan “Makamsal Piyano Parçaları” isimli kitapta; eğitim müziği ekseninde en çok kullanılan makamlarda (Kürdi, hüseyni, hicaz, segah vb.) farklı şarkı formlarında besteler yer almaktadır.
Gerek müzikal, gerekse teknik anlamda dörtlü armoni ağırlı olarak bestelenen çalışmalar, piyano eğitiminde kullanılabilecek nitelikte çalışmalar olup; aynı zamanda piyano repertuvarına da katkı sağlayacaktır.
