As we are in an intensely digital era, we need to anchor our biological entities with activated bodies and brains. This workshop will re-engage with time, place, materials, bodies, imaginations and physical realities. This is where new approaches will be born. The workshop aims to collaboratively create, collect and share visions and teachings of a future ecological art education. What will matter in art education in our posthuman world? The workshop foregrounds taking turns in an intra-active material-discursive dance that doesn't stop at dichotomies such as practice and theory. Instead, in every turn of the dance and especially the "re-turnings" making and talking together breathes more and more life into the processes of an ethical art education that matters. For an outdoor session, we will entangle bodymemory, body-sensations and intellectual thoughts on the question of an art education of ecology awareness. This

The lunch seminars function is to create a place and time for people at the FACULTY OF FINE, APPLIED AND PERFORMING ARTS, Univ. of Gothenburg to meet other interested in discussing and practicing performance and performativity as method and theory. The seminars, meetings and other events that the CROSS FACULTY GROUP arranges are always open for everyone to take part in. We believe that knowledge is being produced in the meeting (fusion, blurring, merging intra-action, transformation) between all participants of all forms, all matters and in mattering. Space, place, people and other parties are all part of the ongoing transformative process of understanding and making knowledge. The overall aim of the cross‐disciplinary performance group is to give members of the Faculty a context in which to encounter and experience performativity and its meanings, whilst obtaining tools to analyze and produce discus...

The text enters from an artistic perspective with the agenda of experimenting with a merge and dissipation of the boundaries between art and education, and to incorporate not only the everyday, but also the phantasmagoric, mythical and nonsensical aspects of life, teaching, education and art. It does so by introducing the two perspectives and concepts; Bastards and Shadows. The shadow can be a place within institutions where to carry out trans-disciplinary experiments and making experiences when different disciplines and practices meets and merges. The bastard is the not (yet) recognized result of these meetings and merges. The concepts and examples presented are in motion between being (school) fictions playing with what might become with different disciplines in the future, and examples of practicing (art)education as (education) art. Entangled they move through time, talking, confronting, shaping and diffracting a non-existing form. Their method is about diffracting every inch of their journey. Meeting obstacles, facing resistance, walking into bubbles of flair and comfort, stepping into dilemmas and borderlands. Continuously asking themselves: What happens in the microscopic moment? When no/thing could even be imagined. On their way they challenge both time and existence. Learning through teaching through learning. Their journey is an ornamenting becoming in itself. It is an example of mattering as in meaning-making and knowledge processing, based on a performance of the indeterminable and affinity. The outcome is the performative encounter in itself – a potential model for teaching and learning in higher arts education.

It is a framework for various lectures and workshops held at different education and art institutions, and in other art and educational contexts. It creates a link between different institutions, participants, places and times, by the ongoing and collective creation of a historical empire. The participants are invited to take part in an educational performance, where they discuss and create artifacts and historical facts about the February EMPIREs past and present by using a variety of artistic and educational practices.
