As salaam aleikum! (peace be with you!) and welcome to the halal_pixels community for Islamic icons and graphics.Halal: That which is in accordance with or permitted under Islamic law.Pixel: The basic unit of the composition of an image on a television screen, computer monitor, or similar display.Therefore, it goes without saying that graphics and work posted mostly deal with things of an Islamic nature. To be able to use the icons that are posted in this commmunity, you MUST become a member. Or else... ;) Members, however, need NOT be Muslim: anyone and everyone is welcome! !!IMPORTANT!! We the mods are not here to judge what consists of halal or not, so please just use your common sense. Icons can consist of, but are not limited to, verses from the Qur'aan, sayings of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), sayings by other notable Muslim scholars, nature and beauty (all things created), Islamic art, Islamic concepts mixed in with other interests... anything so long as it is not offensive to other members or does not mock the religion of Islam itself. Just keep it halal B-)

Rules

[1.] Credit where requested! People put in a lot of effort and time in making these things! They reserve the right to ask for credit for their work, please respect their terms. You can credit icons made by others by:- go to Edit User Pictures - fill in a description in the box where it says keyword- then place the person's lj-name in the box that says comments with the following code (without the *asterisks*): <*lj user="username"*>As long as it's somewhere in your userinfo or the userpics. Do not steal the work of others and pass it off as your own! That is just so not halal~ [2.] LJ-Cut!! Please make use of the lj cut in order to save any loading trouble for those of us with a slower internet connection. You are allowed to have up to three teaser icons but the rest (or any graphics exceeding 200 X 200) must be put behind an lj cut. The code for an lj cut is as follows:<*** **lj-cut text="**brief description**"*** **> place your text/images here **<*** **/lj-cut*** **>**[*remove the asterisks in the actual cut though*], otherwise it will not work. [3.] NO hot-linking unless otherwise told. If you need a place to host images to, Photobucket.com is a good one, as well as ImageShack.us.[4.] This is a community about art and creativity. No bashing or comment wars allowed!!! Members who show disrespect and such will automatically be banned. Play nice, be nice, and we'll all live happily ever after ^_^
