Dear Camper,

Welcome to HALF-BLOOD HILL, a fan community for Rick Riordan's ancient mythology children's lit series

Percy Jackson and the Olympians, The Heroes of Olympus, and The Kane Chronicles.

We understand that you're at an unusual and tumultuous point of your life, and we are here to help you transition for normalcy to...well, normalcy for a half-blood. Hopefully your satyr will have explained the basics to you, so you will no that you are no ordinary human. You are the son or daughter of one of the great Olympian gods, the divine rulers of the ancient Greek world and the forces behind Western Civilization. Before you proceed to Camp proper, please watch our orientation film:

Rules
1. This is a fan community for Percy Jackson and the Olympians, The Heroes of Olympus, and The Kane Chronicles. As such, please make sure all posts are relevant. If you're unsure what is considered "relevant," check the community's past entries or ask a moderator.

2. As an English-language comm for an English-language book series, we ask that you please restrict your language use to standard English (or Ancient Greek, if you actually know it. If you do, you're automatically Endowed With Awesome). Mr. D frowns on chatspeak.

3. Posting is unmoderated. However, in exchange the moderators reserve the right to delete posts or freeze threads at our discretion if we feel they don't comply with the rules. We will give you warning before hand, though.

4. No flaming, no bashing, no rude behavior, keep trolling to a minimum. The mods have a seriously obnoxious sense of humor, but we draw the line at anything seriously offensive.

5. If you have any problems with your fellow members, discuss it with them privately. If you fail to reach an understanding, please contact a mod. Don't bring your personal problems into the community.

6. Anything rated R/M/NC-17 (basically, anything inappropriate for under 13s) must be placed under an LJ cut and clearly labeled. This is a kids' series.

7. If you are sharing fanfiction or fanart, please state the pertinent information (title, author, rating, pairing(s), warning(s), etc.).

8. This is more of a request than a rule, but we'd really appreciate it, if you are sharing icons, that you don't lock the entries you're linking to.

9. If you have any questions, concerns, suggestions, or whatever, feel free to reply here or contact one of the mods.

10. Please tag your own posts according to the list when it's finished.

11. Any and all spoilers must be clearly marked and hidden under LJ-cuts upon pain of Hades for at least two months after a book is released. For information on how to create an LJ-cut, see here.
