DivX versions of all my Buffy vids (including Writing Notes and Glorious #1) are now posted over at the paper cup vids page. I haven't decided yet whether or when I'm going to remaster any of these older vids, so at the moment they've got exactly the same virtues, flaws, and less-than-DVD-quality source that they've had for years now, but I figured, hey, I no longer have RealPlayer on my own computer, so I might as well make DivX versions for myself; and as long as I'm making them, I might as well share.
Rewatching them all has alternately made me a) think about my progress as a vidder, and b) cringe; which is to be expected, I suppose. I may go into that later, but then again I might decide to skip introspection and forge ahead with the various vids-in-progress, so for now I will simply observe that I was surprised and pleased to find that I still enjoy Writing Notes.
I have also followed the lead of morgandawn and laurashapiro and many other folks and started uploading my vids to my imeem page, so you can now watch streaming versions if you're so inclined. It was actually the process of converting all the old vids that tipped me over from "...eh, I'll get to that eventually" to "might as well do it now"; the h.l juvenilia are particularly well-suited, I think, to streaming rather than downloading. Heh.
I confess that I have not been using imeem at all myself, even to preview vids; I suppose at some point I might put together some playlists, but I'm much more inclined to make VLC playlists of the downloaded versions.
I'm curious, actually: now that the initial flurry of activity has settled down somewhat, how many people are using imeem with any regularity or frequency?
