As subtleglitter once wrote,
... these anti-slash people need a severe wake-up call, not to mention an enema. If you continue with the attitude, in this day and age, that "two boys together is icky," you better step aside because progress is going to steamroll right over your closed-minded ass.
AMEN.
(And with that...)
INCROYABLE's RECS and REVIEWS NEWSLETTER
Hello! My name is Shanti and this is where I go mad over Harry Potter. I was doing quite a bit of fandom over at my RL journal, incroyable, but I think I was scaring my non-HP-obsessed friends. Just a little. (Or maybe a lot.) So I decided to do this.
Friend me if you want to, I would like that. Sorry, but you can't join. The only reason I made this a community instead of a journal is because then I don't have to log out of my journal to post here.
My recs are mainly Harry/Draco, Remus/Sirius, Sirius/James, MPP and The Trio. I rec&rev a WHOLE LOT of other stuff too, but that is the majority. I have a huge penchant for ANGST... and for humour too, so there's plenty of that. I have a not-so-discreet love of crackfic, so there's that. And, I am obsessed with Marauders-Era ANYTHING, so be prepared. I have a momentary fic-gasm whenever a Regulus/Sirius, James/Remus or Harry/Remus turns up and I'm not really sure why (MPP forever!). I am also currently OBSESSED with Molly/Arthur and James/Lily, as well as Fred/George, Harry/Sirius/Remus and genfic. GENFIC! It's the new pink.
Not everything I rec is new - about 1/5 of what I read is archived stuff that I haven't got to reading yet. If something turns up that is incredible and from two years ago, don't be surprised ^___^ I have a habit of scouring master recs lists and the memories of my favourite authors on Sunday afternoons.
The newsletter comes out every week circa Friday unless I should find myself incapable of posting (e.g. death, LJ being down, finding myself out of the country, work is killing me, school is crazy, etc.). NOTE: Friday should be recognised as anywhere between Friday night at 11PM and Saturday evening ;)
If you feel inclined to mention that I linked you to a story that you're commenting on, I will appreciate it forever. I promise. Credit is always nice :)
If you'd like to contact me, you may at incroyable@livejournal.com.
The journal has a pretty simple format. There are six categories and everything posted is sorted into the correct place.
The categories are:
If There Are Noises In the Night
discussion, essays
A Frightening Shadow
angst, anger, sadness, death
Flickering Light
humour, cleverness, smut, fun, fluff
Then I Surrender Unto Sleep
love, brilliance, happiness, genius plots, general gen
Where Clouds of Dream Give Second Sight
icons, art
What Dreams May Come Both Dark and Deep
chapter fiction, novel-length stories
Beyond that, there is only one thing to know:
Anything I find extraordinary... I bold.
That should cover it :)
I once had the notion to make a master recs list but threw that out the window after realising that I only ever rec what I LOVE, anwyay, so why do the work twice? I consider my master rec list to be the collective MEMORIES of this journal. The memories section of recs looks like this:
Of Flying Wings 12.05.94 | HP Fandom Recs | 3.0
weekly recs, day.month.year | fandom = HP | week number
A Flickering Light 14.05.94 | 3.4
interum recs, day.month.year | last week number . number of rec
If you're reading the memories as a master recs list, read the "Of Flying Wings" and "A Flickering Light" sections in the Recs Memories.
I will someday make a master list of the best of the best of the best, but until then, this will have to do.

+ I could never do this newsletter without the help of the dedicated reccers and others who weed out all the crap. Please visit my Credits List.
+ For an excellent list of H/D recs, see gossymer's Directory of Harry/Draco Rec Lists.
+ It's incredibile, not to be confused with
incredible. It's Italian. Yes, I speak Italian. I'm
cool nerdy like that.
Thanks for visiting!
