This study aims to describe jimpitan as a solution in helping people to deal with pandemics from ... more This study aims to describe jimpitan as a solution in helping people to deal with pandemics from an economic perspective. This research focuses on the variety of jimpitan in Indonesia, the relationship between the jimpitan and mutualcooperation, the relationship between the jimpitan and the COVID-19 pandemic and new things about the jimpitan in modern times and during the pandemic. Data collection techniques using literature studies, interviews, and observations. In analyzing the data, the researcher used an interactive model from Miles and Huberman. The results of the study found that: 1) There are two models of jimpitan in Indonesia, namely with rice and money and some of them are carried out together with patrolling activities. 2) Jimpitan, as an indigenous culture from Indonesia 3) in some places, jimpitan during the pandemic is still being carried out4) there are activities of jimpitan in the modern era based on technology. In addition, the Jogo Tonggo program from the Central Java government can be used as a combination of jimpitan activities.
