In a knowledge economy, people are facing increased competition hence developing more greed due t... more In a knowledge economy, people are facing increased competition hence developing more greed due to lack of love and kindness. Most of the organization now set their spiritual standards to ensure more love and kindness towards one's role and colleagues. Organizations and people should ensure workplace spirituality. This study is conducted to explore and determine the relationship between workplace spirituality, job satisfaction, organizational commitment and job involvement. Our target population was employees (lecturer level) of public sector Universities of Punjab. A sample of 150 employees was selected by systematic sampling in which 101 were responded at rate of 67 %. A research questionnaire was developed for data collection and data analysis was based on descriptive and inferential statistics. This study is aimed to evaluate the influences of job and career on career commitment and to meas... more This study is aimed to evaluate the influences of job and career on career commitment and to measure the mediating effect of job satisfaction and organizational commitment. Data was collected from 240 employees, including managers and officers of public sector banks through questionnaire. Data was analyzed by using SPSS. It was found that current work situations (position tenure, job security, management level and met expectations), career experiences (career stage, mobility pattern, career satisfaction and changed industry), job satisfaction and organizational commitment have significant direct effect on career commitment. Moreover, study found that job satisfaction and organizational commitment mediated the influences of both the current work situations and career experiences on career commitment. This research was conducted on the employees of banking sector located in one division of Punjab. So this could restrict the research to one location only. But this study is significant ...

Employees are also more concerned regarding those factors, that can bring success in their life. Hence, this article aims to create a linkage of commitment and career success amongst banking sector employees residing in Punjab, Pakistan. Employees (Managers and officers) of public sector banks were taken as a population from which the sample was selected using two-stage cluster sampling. Data was collected using a questionnaire, which was distributed among 240 bankers. The usable response received is from 130 respondents, making the response rate, 54 percent. Data was analyzed by using SPSS and STATISTICA 10.0v software. Through analysis, it is established that organizational commitment (OC) has a direct influence on career commitment (CC). Moreover, two indicators of career success (CS) i.e. a) objective CS and; b) subjective CS appeared as important consequences of career commitment. Therefore, this study generates an insi...
