Preliminary aging tests were performed. Tests show that the proposed system withstood frequency accelerated aging at a cable stress of 10 MV/m for an equivalent 60 Hz time period of te 531 days under the cryogenic conditions of the proposed cable. The partial discharge inception stress for a helium density of 110 kg/m³ declined from 12.3 MV/m at the beginning of aging to 7.1 MV/m at the end. This was thought to be due to the erosion of the vapor-deposited aluminum layer on the screen tapes. Although the dielectric tapes were exposed to partial discharge activity for almost the whole period of the test, there was no significant deterioration of the tapes. This suggests that damage due to discharges must be less at cryogenic temperatures.

In particular, the Geram-Schmidt open loop structure for orthogonalization and McWhirter's modified systolic array structure for Givens rotation are mapped onto the DAP with modifications to make use of the fast parallel data transfer capability

FMO improves the decoded video quality remarkably in the presence of an appropriate error concealment algorithm. There are a number of mapping structures to distribute the macroblocks in individual slice groups. In this paper, we propose a new mapping scheme that provides an opportunity for transmission layers to protect the macroblocks that are more important. This will introduce a new unequal error protection (UEP) scheme based on FMO. Our simulation results show that this UEP scheme is efficient and successful, especially at high bit error rates.

These systems were investigated with the aid of a point/plane electrode arrangement. The tests showed that there is a strong correlation between the total surface

In this paper, we exploit FMO to classify the data and introduce an opportunity for unequal error protection (UEP), where more important macroblocks are better protected than the others. The effect of various temperatures on the breakdown stress of the insulating system was investigated for the first arrangement. A correlation between discharge energy and material damage was established for the nonuniform field arrangement. The discharge energy delivered to the test object seems to be a much more useful discharge parameter than the largest partial discharge magnitude. The influence of temperature on the breakdown stress was also studied. The present insulation system performed satisfactorily up to 70°C. It started deteriorating, however, at 90°C
