Nigeria, having realized the effectiveness of education as a powerful instrument for national pr... more Nigeria, having realized the effectiveness of education as a powerful instrument for national progress and development, adjusted her secondary school educational system to encompass diversified Infrastructure that improve in the achievements of Academic Performances of seconday Schools Students, However, the educational system does not seem to achieve its purpose as majority of secondary school leavers are not equipped with necessary skills to empower themselves. Consequently they cannot raise their socio-economic standard and therefore cannot contribute to nation building; hence, the need for this study.The broad aim of the study was to Examine the importance of infrastructure on the students academic performance, Examine the impact of poor infrastructure on the students academic performance, Ascertain the factors that hinders the students academic performance, And Examine the extent the Government effort to provide or put in place the school Infrastructure which affect Academic Performances of the secondary school students with a view to identifying the root cause of the problem. Following the objectives, five research questions were formulated. Adopting the descriptive survey research design. The research work adopted cognitive theory in Relationships to Academic Performances of Students, The research work was conducted in Billiri L.G.A Gombe metropolis, two thausand seven hundred and fifty nine Students were selected for the research. In choosing the student-subjects, random sampling technique is used adopting Sample Size Determination Using Krejci and Morgan Table. Data collected were subjected to appropriate quantitative and qualitative analyses using Descriptive statistics is used to summarize data collected using questionnaire, which was analyzed using mean method for each item of the questionnaire for easy interpretation, findings, The findings shoes that infrastructure plays a crucial role in students' academic performance in secondary schools. Poor infrastructure negatively impacts productivity, learner interest, and overall academic outcomes. Adequate availability of facilities, textbooks, classrooms, and instructional materials contributes to effective teaching and learning.

However, in many cases, the dictates of customary law are often in contravention with the progressive attitude embodied in the Constitution. The Constitution guarantees the right to equal treatment of men and women in social, political and cultural spheres. However, women in the Somali customary justice system do not enjoy this right. Women in the Somali customary justice system have no locus standi before any dispute resolution process and they cannot oversee the resolution of disputes as this position is reserved for the elders, who can only be men. Through Gary Becker’s theory on the economics of discrimination, this paper establishes, through an economic lens, that there is a prevailing cost to the Somali community for failing to include women in the processes of the customary justice system. Lecturers Opinion on Classroom Management Effectiveness on Learning, Importance of Good Classroom Management on Learning, Consequences of Ineffective Classroom Management on Learning and Methods/techniques for Effective Classroom Management, constituted the 23 item questionnaire that was validated by the researchers' supervisor. The questionnaire elicited information from the Lecturers, on the Lecturers Opinion on Classroom Management Effectiveness on Learning, Importance of Good Classroom Management on Learning, Consequences of Ineffective Classroom Management on Learning and Methods/techniques for Effective Classroom Management in Kashim Ibrahim college of Education Maiduguri, Borno State, Nigeria. Result: (63.83%) of the respondents were of the view that classroom management greatly affect teaching learning-situation, (57.45%) of the respondents were of the view that good classroom management influences students' academic performance, the study discovered that (55.32%) of the respondents revealed that poor classroom management causes lack of focus on teaching , the study also discovered that (61.70%) of the respondents goes with rules method as the method/technique of achieving effective classroom management. Conclusion: the study indicated that classroom management greatly affects teaching learning-situation. This study's findings also underlines the view that good classroom management influences students' academic performance, the study findings also discovered that poor classroom management causes lack of focus on teaching, the study goes with rules method as the method/technique of achieving effective classroom management. Recommendations: Classroom management should be taught as a course for those doing educational courses at NCE and PGDE level. This will enhance teaching in no small ways, constant workshops and seminars should be organized for teachers on management techniques with emphasis on modern techniques of classroom management.
