Acquisition of planar images was achieved by recording circumferential lines of single sections. Slices were examined using a computer assisted light microscope. After modular image acquisition the volumes were calculated using 3D reconstruction. The prostate volumes were correlated with gestational age and crown rump length. Volume statistics were further related to reference testosterone levels during pregnancy. RESULTS: Between the 11'" and 34'" week prostatic growth is exponential in relation to gestational age and crown rump length. The increasing volume of the prostate during the fetal period clearly parallels the gestational testosterone surge, particularly during the second and third trimenon. The graphs of maternal testosterone levels and the prostate volumes are virtually congruent. Between the 20"' and 25"' week of gestation a significant increase of the prostate volume as well as of the bladder neck in relation to the bladder size is observable. In the newborn a deceleration of prostatic growth corresponding to decreasing maternal testosterone levels can be described. CONCLUSIONS: Accelerated growth of the the fetal prostate originating from maternal testosterone stimulation was demonstrated. In neonates a decrescence of this constant growth was noticed. The size ratio between the prostate volume and the fetal bladder resembles the proportion of these two organs in the elderly. This study may support the hypothesis of a intrauterine gender specific infravesical obstruction and high voiding pressures in male neonates.

Hence amongst many neutrophil gelatinase associated lipocalin (NGAL) is emerging as early, sensitive, and most promising biomarker of AKI both in urine and plasma. This prospective cross sectional observational study was carried out in Combined Military Hospital (CMH) Dhaka from October 2011 to March 2012. A total of willing 100 adult patients undergoing elective coronary angiogram (CAG) with normal kidney function were included in this study. Our study defined contrast induced AKI (CI-AKI) as rise of serum creatinine by >25% or e"0.5 mg/dl from baseline after exposure to contrast media and urine NGAL e"100 ng/ml was taken as cut off value to predict AKI as calculated by ROC curve. The main outcome measures were urine NGAL at 4 hrs and serum creatinine at 48 hrs after CAG. Significant elevation of urine NGAL was noted in 9 patients after 4 hrs of CAG, of them 8 (8%) patients developed raised s. creatinine (AKI) after 48 hrs. Patient demographics and procedural factors were although statistically significant in few instances but none was predictive of AKI.

Materials and Methods: The clinical risk factors for ESBL-producing bacteriuria were retrospectively investigated in 60 myelodysplastic children who had asymptomatic bacteriuria and were performing CIC. A total of 60 children were included in this study, 30 children (17 females, 13 males) with ESBL-positive bacteriuria in urine culture were identified as the study group and 30 age-and gender-matched ESBL-negative children (16 females, 14 males) served as controls. All children had neurogenic bladder due to myelodysplasia and had been used anticholinergics. The two groups were compared in terms of age, gender, presence of constipation and motor deficit, antibiotic prophylaxis, number of hospital admission, ultrasound findings, and presence of renal scarring in dimercapto succinic acid scintigraphy and urodynamic findings. Results: The mean age of the children was 77±50 months in study and 78±69 months in control groups. There was no statistically significant difference in terms of maximum bladder capacity, leak point pressure, constipation status and scarring. In study and control groups, 83% and 46% of children were on antimicrobial prophylaxis, respectively (p=0.007). Conclusion: ESBL-producing bacteriuria was found to be associated with long-term antibiotic prophylaxis. Thus, it was concluded that the use of antibiotics for asymptomatic bacteriuria should be kept to a minimum.

The relationship between urinary brain-derived neurotrophic factor and neurogenic and nonneurogenic detrusor overactivity has been shown as well. We prospectively investigated the effect of intradetrusor botulinum neurotoxin type A injection on urine brain-derived neurotrophic factor levels in children with nonneurogenic detrusor overactivity due to myelodysplasia. Materials and Methods: Urine samples of 23 children with nonneurogenic detrusor overactivity due to myelodysplasia were collected and analyzed before and 1 and 3 months after intradetrusor botulinum neurotoxin type A injection, and urodynamics were performed before and 6 weeks after injection. Brain-derived neurotrophic factor levels and urodynamic findings were analyzed and statistical comparisons were done. Results: Mean ± SD age was 100.0 ± 34.5 months. Ratio of girls to boys was 2.8. Brain-derived neurotrophic factor levels significantly decreased (p <0.006), and maximum cystometric capacity and maximum detrusor pressure improved significantly following intradetrusor botulinum neurotoxin type A injection compared to preoperatively (p <0.001). No statistical correlations were determined between brain-derived neurotrophic factor levels and urodynamics. Of all analyses only bladder compliance 5 ml/cm H2O or less vs greater than 5 ml/cm H2O at postoperative urodynamics was associated with statistically increased urine brain-derived neurotrophic factor levels, suggesting that increased urine brain-derived neurotrophic factor predicts treatment failure. Conclusions: The present study does not suggest that urine brain-derived neurotrophic factor is a reliable followup marker in children with nonneurogenic detrusor overactivity due to myelodysplasia. However, this factor may have a role in treatment planning, which needs to be established in future large prospective studies.

Although the most common genitourinary involvement of brucellosis is epididymoorchitis, other findings may also occur. Herein, we report a patient with brucellosis presenting as the first sign as epididymo-orchitis, with the review of the current literature.

However, seminars, meetings, and conferences are necessary for updating our knowledge and skills. The web-based seminars (webinars) are the solutions to this issue. This study aimed to show the participant behavior when webinars present at the Covid-19 pandemic era. Methods: Between December 2017 – July 2020, 58 webinars were broadcasted via the Uropedia, electronic library of SUST. Data of all webinars were collected with the YouTube analytics and application of the Uropedia. Data of streaming webinars included participant behaviors such as content views, engagement time, total unique attendees, average engagement time, and the number of audience to leads. Data were split into two groups; group-1 is webinars before Covid-19 (before March 2020), group-2 is the webinars during Covid-19. Results: Total broadcast time and total page view number were found to...
