(Acari: Heterostigmatina: Scutacaridae) detached from under elytra of a carabid beetle, Elaphropus (Tachyura) diabrachys (Kolenati, 1845) (Coleoptera: Carabidae), is described and illustrated from Iran. The new species is distinguishable from congeners by the characteristically modified setae 1a, dilated thoroughly with an apical thorn. This is the first record of the genus Archidispus from Iran.

Raphignathoid Mites (Acariformes, Raphidognathoidea) of North-Eastern Ukraine, with the Description of a New Species of the Genus Caligonella. Khaustov A. A., Kuznetsov N. N. -The results of investigation of the rhaphignathoid mites in north-eastern Ukraine arc summarised. Twenty-two species of five families arc listed. Caligonella venusta sp. n. is described. The new species differs from all hitherto known Caligonella species in number of anal setae, tarsal chactotaxy and in presence of only one solenidion on the tibia 1 . The type of the new species is deposited in the collection of the Department of Agroecology, the State Nikita Botanical Garden (Yalta) HieecTCH HI Kpwwa (Ky3HeuoB, JIHBIIIHU, 1974). 3roj pe^KHH BHA 6uji Hafi^eH B oonbiiiOM KO^HHCCTBC BO Mxy Ha Kope Ay6a, B oxp. c. The richest tarsonemid community was found in galleries of Pityogenes bistridentatus (Eichhoff, 1878) and Orthotomicus longicollis (Gyllenhal, 1 827). Tarsonemus primus has the broadest range of coleopteran hosts (six). T. primus, T. curiosiis and T. pseiidolacustris are recorded for the first time as bark beetle associates. T. metacinops is found for the first time in galleries of O. longicollis and under elytra of cerambycid (Rhagium inquisitor L.) and pythid (Pytho depressus L.) beetles (new hosts). Pityokteines spinidens is a new host for T. minimax, and Pityogenes bistridentatus and P. calcaratus are new hosts for Iponemus punctatus.

Coleopterophagus albini and C. maroni are recorded in Ukraine for the first time. Adults of the four species are redescribed and illustrated. The male of C. donaldi and immature stages of the genus Coleopterophagus are described and illustrated for the first time. Keys to the four species (adults and tritonymphs) are provided. The host-parasite relationships of Coleopterophagus are discussed.
