This paper aims to analyze the characteristics of the European Higher Education Area in the frame... more This paper aims to analyze the characteristics of the European Higher Education Area in the framework of EU Strategies for higher education. The main indicators analyzed in this paper are: the number of students enrolled in higher education in the European Area countries, annual public expenditure allocated to higher education and a comparison between Romania and the EU in tertiary education. The conclusion drawn in the paper is that each European country must implement its own reforms in tertiary education due to different national frameworks. The demographic changes play an important role for the education policies in all countries, as some of them are facing relatively high growth in the number of students, while others face a decrease.

The main objective is to establish the most effective and sustainable distribution policies and strategies used by textile companies in Romania. It can be said that the distribution chain has to be very short and in many cases, conducted by the producer itself, because he has to follow the sustainable product through all its life phases. In conclusion, it can be said that for many companies the distribution process has a great impact on the environment, therefore it is very important to supervise the distribution chain. T... more Sustainable development is a constant and a necessity of daily life in the restaurant industry. The restaurant industry has high consumptions of energy, water, detergents, and consumables, together with tremendous food waste. The COVID-19 pandemic highlighted many acute sustainable development problems. In this context, this article analyzes the practices identified by restaurant managers that define their responsible behavior, and the significant changes made towards sustainability during the COVID-19 pandemic. This article presents the results obtained through qualitative research, carried out by semi-directive in-depth interviews, conducted with 56 restaurant managers from Romania. The answers obtained are based on five topics of discussion highlighting the managers’ growing interest in finding solutions to counteract negative effects on the environment, to ensure the wellbeing of customers and employees, and to increase the profitability of their company. The main objective of this paper is to evaluate the existing situation of the labour market, from... more The main objective of this paper is to evaluate the existing situation of the labour market, from the unemployment standpoint. The present article begins by reviewing the literature and goes on to analyse the evolution of unemployment in Romania. The present study indicates that unemployment is higher among men than among women. This phenomenon has become apparent after the economic crisis, when the fields most affected were production and constructions in which most employees are male. It is predicted that the large number of unemployed individuals will not be diminished, even after the end of the crisis. Even if the economy returns to normal and consumers begin using consumer goods again, this increase will only be able to absorb a small fraction of the unemployed.

It continues with a market research conducted among women in Brasov highlighting the attitudes, opinions and behaviour of women in Brasov on the acquisition and use of cosmetics product. The present paper analyzes the cosmetics market, the company Avon position in Brasov’s market, identifying the company’s main competitors, population segmentation. After analyzing data from market research shows that most women acquires cosmetic products from Avon company, the representatives role being extremely important. Most women buy products through the catalogue, 77% of them using the products every day, often buying the personal care products.

The authors have conducted a comparative analysis of a descriptive type of five representative university centres in Romania, followed by a quantitative research among students within these centres. Through an exploratory empirical research of a quantitative type, 438 students were interviewed, the results obtained determining the extent in which study programs pursued by respondents live up to student expectations and succeed to satisfy them. Student perception on the services offered in the five university centres considered were also quantified, having identified student intentions regarding their professional path, namely the extent in which there is a continuity between the job and the graduated field of study. Therefore, the aim of this project is to analyse the dynamics of the youth travel market, on a global level, taking into consideration the international youth arrivals, youth accommodation units and the behavioural habits of young tourists, serving as a starting point in the strategy development process. The entire economic activity is related to the environment, being at least, the place for producing the goods. The consumers are growing their interest on the world behind the product, they want to know how, where and who manufactured the product they want to buy, in order to determine the price they want to pay, and to make the purchase decision. The main part of this article contains a marketing research made on the Brasov’s adult population, having the main objective to establish the opinions, attitudes and behaviors of the Brasov citizens on the eco-marketing campaigns. In order to determine this, a quantitative research was conducted, on 384 subjects. This research contains questions about the interest manifested by the population from Brasov on the ecological problems, the actions that were taken by different age groups concerning the ecological problems, the influence of the revenue on the actions on the eco-marketing campaigns and the degree of involvement of different economic actors in the eco-marketing plans. The results of this quantitative research are able to establish some main directions for an efficient eco-marketing campaign on the Brasov market.

This paper contains a research study about the necessity to provide counselling services in unive... more This paper contains a research study about the necessity to provide counselling services in universities and the utility of such services for students and graduates. A qualitative research study based on semi-structured in-depth interviews was conducted, having as main objectives to identify students’ opinions regarding the personnel recruitment process, the compatibility with a job and utility of counselling and vocational orientation services. The results revealed that students appreciate such services, they want to benefit from them, but they do not know about their existence. Therefore, a better promotion of these services and a genuine involvement of universities for providing them to the students are the best future strategies.

The main theme of this research is: attitudes, opinions and behaviours of students graduating from Transilvania University regarding their professional path after graduating from university courses. The present paper continues with some of the results obtained from the research and the conclusions drawn from them.
