The COVID-19 pandemic has raised many problems in the education sector, one of which is the incre... more The COVID-19 pandemic has raised many problems in the education sector, one of which is the increasing trend toward student loneliness owing to a lack of interpersonal connections in online learning activities. The present study explicitly aims to examine the relationship between loneliness and academic achievement for university students in Indonesia. Moreover, we propose moderating God’s locus of control (i.e., God’s control over behavior-related learning) (GLC) and learning student engagement, playing mediating roles in these relationships. The data were collected from 324 respondents among university students in Indonesia during emergency remote teaching. The moderated-mediated regression analysis using Hayes’ PROCESS macro found loneliness negatively related to engagement and academic achievement. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study method. The research participants were students from two schools in Madura who had been exposed to or were at risk of being exposed to drugs. Data was collected through interviews and analyzed using the thematic analysis technique. The research results showed that forms of drug control among students in Madura are carried out in 3 ways, namely medical rehabilitation is carried out using screening results data which is used as a reference for assessment and followed up by administering doses of drugs in the form of methadone pills and buprenorphine; non-medical rehabilitation is carried out using a psychological approach which includes counselling services, community therapy and spiritual therapy with talqin al dzikr through the qad...

This study aims to uncover the relationship between the quality of class interaction in learning ... more This study aims to uncover the relationship between the quality of class interaction in learning activities and student thriving in the two methods (hybrid and blended) used in the past year. Using a sample of 112 students selected through a purposive approach, data were collected using a questionnaire at the end of the semester in 2021/2022. Partial least square structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) with multi-group analysis (MGA) was applied to test the model. The study's results provide empirical support regarding the relationship between classroom interaction quality and student perceived thrive (vitality and learning) in both learning modes. Finally, a comparison of the effects based on MGA identified that the quality of classroom interaction was more effective on vitality than blended learning compared to hybrid learning. While regarding perceived learning, the dominant effect of classroom interaction is more effective in blended learning mode.

That the domain of cognition and behavior consists of three domains of intelligence; Cognitive, affective and psychomotor play an important role in shaping personality. However, it should be realized that each domain has a specific function in stimulating the pattern of autonomous psychological traits. The method used is qualitative analysis based on critical analysis approach. The results of the study show that there are various patterns of individual character in thinking, acting and acting. Observing the existence of function limitations, it is necessary to balance the internal domains, harmonize and synergize them with other domains. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach. Data collection techniques in this study are interviews, observations, and documentation. The data analysis technique in this study uses the miles and huberman model which is divided into three activities in data analysis, namely data reduction, data presentation, and data verification. the philosophy of empiricism states that the environment greatly influences the formation of character and knowledge. The religious activities carried out will be experience and knowledge. Experience or knowledge that is carried out repeatedly will be a habituation that is expected to continue to be applied not only in the secluded but also in the home or community.

This study investigated the impact of loneliness on academic self-efficacy (ASE) and student enga... more This study investigated the impact of loneliness on academic self-efficacy (ASE) and student engagement in the context of remote teaching during the COVID-19 pandemic. Moreover, as a boundary condition, we examined the role of intermediate ASE in the relationship between loneliness, student engagement, and perceived humor in learning. A total of 367 undergraduate students from six universities in Indonesia completed an online questionnaire. Data were analyzed using Macro Process version 4 to test the moderating mediation model hypothesis. As expected, the study results show that loneliness is negatively related to ASE and student engagement. ASE is proven to affect student engagement positively; concurrently, it plays an intermediate role in the link between loneliness and student engagement. Specifically, this study aims to: (1) evaluate the consistency between times of loneliness, burnout, and social self-efficacy, (2) examine the differences in the three measurements based on gender, and (3) examine the detrimental effects of loneliness on burnout and social self-efficacy of students at two Islamic state universities. Using a short-term longitudinal study design involving 237 students from two state Islamic universities. Data were analyzed using descriptive, comparative, correlation, and regression to test the proposed model. The results showed that loneliness and burnout at one point in time could consistently predict loneliness and burnout in the future. This study examined the reliability and validity of a measure of classroom incivility within an I... more This study examined the reliability and validity of a measure of classroom incivility within an Indonesian context. Data were collected from 334 participants through two stages of online questionnaire distribution. The measurement quality was evaluated through seven stages of partial least squares confirmatory composite analysis (PLS-CCA). Our findings confirm the multidimensionality of classroom incivility (class disruption, disrespectful communication, integrity violation, and use of the cell phone). In addition, all sub-scales of classroom incivility were negatively related to civility and prosocial behavior, and no significant difference was found between male and female students. Higher education institutions in Indonesia can use this instrument as a supplementary tool to evaluate the level of classroom incivility. This study examined the reliability and validity of a measure of classroom incivility within an I... more This study examined the reliability and validity of a measure of classroom incivility within an Indonesian context. Data were collected from 334 participants through two stages of online questionnaire distribution. The measurement quality was evaluated through seven stages of partial least squares confirmatory composite analysis (PLS-CCA). Our findings confirm the multidimensionality of classroom incivility (class disruption, disrespectful communication, integrity violation, and use of the cell phone). In addition, all sub-scales of classroom incivility were negatively related to civility and prosocial behavior, and no significant difference was found between male and female students. Higher education institutions in Indonesia can use this instrument as a supplementary tool to evaluate the level of classroom incivility.
