God brought man and woman in the Garden of Eden by Himself. His spirit was with them and they live peacefully until sin was found in them. It may not be out of place if the writer feels that marriage that accommodate sin, may more likely attract incompatibility. One may ask, can God who know all things bring grossly unmatched people together to continue to fight over issues for a lifetime in the name of incompatibility? One may also ask, are the partners who suffer incompatibility not pitying their partners who suffer from the challenge of incompatibility? Is it to say that incompatibility cannot be solved? What is really the main cause of incompatibility in Christian marriage even when it is done supposedly as holy matrimony? These questions among others call for gospel ministers and counseling experts to intensify their ministry in the aspect of premarital counseling.

The writer in this paper finds that good Christian marriage has to be helped by the Holy Spirit and by the instrumentality of the G’s word. The counselor effectively renders help to both partners before, during, and after marriage consummation. Nyandoro (2010, 69-72) agrees with Younce (2011, 96) that the counseling paradigm has effectively helped believers to find needed help handy and the writer believes that if the Christian counselor does good work in the lives of the couples before, during and after the marriage they could be effectively helped. The paper also revealed via Christian counseling since counseling is not just advice in a Christian perspective. It has to do with confrontation and a Nouthetic counseling approach which is based upon conservative evangelical interpretation of the Scriptures to the counselee by the Christian counselor.
This paper examines the fact that Christian couples and believers in Christ are called and ordained in loyalty to Jesus Christ to serve as good examples by proclaiming the power of the Holy Spirit; the Good News that reconciles man to God’s loving arms through grace. God does his work in man to bring His saving power to bear to every human being and to every human institution. American Baptists are aware through this confession of faith that they are required to make disciples of all nations and marry faithful opposite partners that will encourage them to have peace on earth and make eternity in Christ. They are also aware that they need to witness God’s redeeming reign in human affairs. And that Christians can be effective in God’s mandate over their lives when they work in unity both as couples and as individuals in the Church. It is evident in this paper that American Baptists believe that God is revealed in Jesus Christ to reconcile this sinful world to Himself (II Corinthians 5:18).

The life of Martin Luther is a solemn lesson to all Christian both clergy and laity alike. For on... more The life of Martin Luther is a solemn lesson to all Christian both clergy and laity alike. For one to honor God effectively in life the fellow has to trust God to remain steadfast in Him despite the troubles that may be brought against him or her. This life is full of challenges for all Christians and if one is not careful the person may feel that the challenges he or she faces is peculiar to him or her alone. Martin Luther has gone through various challenges during his ministry in life but has overcome his own peculiar challenges.
The writer investigates Martin Luther's main trial that led to his refuge at Wartburg Castle and tries to find that the implication of this to the Evangelical Reformed Church of Christ (ERCC) is that the Church needs to continue pressing forward despite the opposition it faces. It implies that no one can have the necessary Changes he desires under God without going through certain hurdles in life. Even though the ERCC Church faces various religious oppositions from the Fulani herders who attack the farm produce of their members and kill scores of them, the Church has to stand firm and focus in serving the Lord without drawing back. The other young people who are gradually contemplating turning back to cult activities because of the challenges they face should believe that God can provide shelter to them as he did to Martin Luther in Wartbug Castle. Luther put many of his ideas into writing during his hiding including the translation of the New Testament.

This toughness is not only on them in reality but on every person on earth. They were known to resolve to traditional games before the advent of computers and cell phones but now are gradually being addicted to video game which is slowly leading them to mental disorders. The youth are truly obsessive with video games as they occupy their precious time with the games at the expense of real-life activities or obligations. In the past, most of these youth get themselves occupied with farming activities but are no longer farming as they used to do because of the continuous attacks often brought to them in farms by the Fulani herders.
Unfortunately, some of these youths of school age and even the few who are gainfully employed are gradually experiencing a poor performance at school, work, or household responsibilities because they now give more time to video gaming. Many of the youth are experiencing a kind of decline in their hygiene or grooming, which indicates that they are addicted to the video game, which is not taking so much of their time. It is not allowing them to perform their daily activities as expected.
Pastoral Psychology, 2022
Many people have disputed if video games addiction should be included as a kind of addiction but ... more Many people have disputed if video games addiction should be included as a kind of addiction but the writer haven gone through this practical counseling has ascertained confidently that video games is an addiction. The writer discovers that video games addiction like any other addiction is easily managed on the early stage than when it goes chronic. And that most of the youth that are victim of this form of addiction are first idle and depressed before landing on this form of addiction. The writer also finds that there is initial exposure stage in the video games addiction followed by the deeper interest stage where the addict finds more pleasure in doing the addiction. There is the growing obsession and full-blown addiction stages in video games addiction (PsychGuides, 2022).
The video games addict can find needed help to go out of any addiction stage in life. The video games addict could find a better thing to do to help him to gradually forget addiction. This is the state that is called the pre-occupation stage. The video games addict could out rightly refuse to turn around from the games. This is called the withdrawal stage which is done basically when the situation has not been aggravated. There is the tolerance time when the addict is allowed to play the games intermittently at specific period given by the therapist or counselor. This level of help goes together with the mind to reduce and stop the addiction. At this stage, the counselor observes or watches the period that the victim goes in to play the video games. The counselor joins him in playing if possible with the mind to gradually go out of the addiction. Other techniques could include the escape adverse moods.
Educational Management in Christian Perspective, 2022
The mission school principal who does not effectively care for his or her subordinate in his lead... more The mission school principal who does not effectively care for his or her subordinate in his leadership role stands the risk of raising staff members who quickly jump to the conclusion of issues of life and this may not be healthy for the school. There are two ways by which staff could jump to conclusions. The first is by attempting to mind read. Mind reading is a situation where staff of the mission school attempt to think over the thinking of their principal. They may assume what he or she does not even think about and may act negatively, assuming that the principal will be comfortable with the act, only to find that such thinking is never proper at all (Hybels 2004, 65-93).
The staff may also assume that the principal will react in a particular way when the he or she does not even allow such thought to cross his or her mind; such staff that experiences such thinking deficiency is regarded in this paper as one who is experiencing jumping to conclusion challenge. The second is fortune-telling. This occurs in the mission school where the staff try to predict events or occurrences to unfold in a particular way, this often occurs when the individual wants to avoid stretching the difficult task that the servant leader or the principal may bring about in the school, even if that will lead to the needed growth of the mission school under consideration (Engel 2006, 34-38).
The benefits of having a principal that is endowed with pastoral care virtues and training is enormous. It is never a matter of doubt that every school needs principal who will be psychologically sound in handling the subordinates’ challenges. Principal as a leader with the sound knowledge of cognitive-behavioral therapy to counsel his staff is very necessary because he will give hope, focus, joy, motivation and help to the staff and students in mission school. When the principal is properly equipped with pastoral care function he or she will properly understand the behavior of the staff of the school and will better understand how to lead them toward meeting up with the objectives of the mission school under his or her watch. The school needs a great leader with the excellent knowledge of servant leadership fully equipped with pastoral care functions. The mission school needs a credible principal, particularly one who is graciously endowed with the knowledge of cognitive behavioral therapy to care and counsel the staff and students effectively to help them overcome their daily challenges and face the future (Rubin 2010, 117-118).
The principal or mission school’s leader who is effectively endowed with pastoral care principles will also get many followers who will believe that such a leader has a peculiar gift that many leaders do not have. This will give him better access to ministry. He or she will mentor many people both within the school under his watch and outside of his school as he or she ministry may carry him in life. Staff and students will have profound confidence in him and tell him many things to help him lead better. Since most of the persons are comfortable with him, he will find required biblical mentorship very easy in his ministry (Vick 2007, 28).
Psychology of Prayers, 2022
Prayer is regarded as a religious experience that human beings communicate with the deity known a... more Prayer is regarded as a religious experience that human beings communicate with the deity known as God. Almost every religion believes on the existence of the Creator, who is the most potent being controller of the universe whether they believe that He created it or not, they know that He directs the affairs of men. Christians hold that God exist as the maker of all things and every creature needs to pay their elegance to Him. God desires a good relationship with His and this is achieved via effective communication with Him. The moment one no longer communicates effectively with His Maker, he fails in various ways. Not minding the situation, the strength to prevail is attached to one’s cordial relationship with God (Merton 1969, 87-88).
Olive Wyon defines prayer as the ascent of the mind of God which means that prayer is a lifting of man’s heart and will to God. Thus, extraordinary love and actions exist between God and man. So, it is a pregnant word that cannot easily be mentioned and not easily be unfolded in single sentence or definition. It is regarded severally as the process by which a man seeks God, fellowship with God, talks to His Maker, reflects on his Creator’s works and requests, and confesses his or her sins (Oliver 1962, 1-5). Prayers have a lot to do with thanksgiving and one does not just pray as a Christian without appreciating God’s goodness and mercy in his or her life. God has done many things in our lives and every human being is a living testimony of His goodness in human existence so one has to come to God with thanksgiving in his or her heart despite the problems that the person is going through, such is the king of prayer posture God desires (Olabi 2013, 67-71).
The writer finds that prayer in a Christian perspective is a thing of faith and the person who does not pray in faith will hardly see results. God wants to see faith display in prayer noting that He is a Creator and would want His creatures to give Him glory at all times (Munroe 2007, 245-267). It is not because the Almighty cannot do things for His people without praying but prayer for a Christian is a mark of humility, honor and loyalty to the Creator. Prayer is not necessarily done mechanically, and this means that certain shaking, shouting and rolling on the ground or clumsy behavior is not needed during prayer. Any display that shows physical manifestations against God’s will and standard of faith is never really required since God answers prayers without such expressions. Simple prayer of faith is enough to bring God’s glory on earth. God honor prayers that honest and righteous people of God offer. God needs a believer to live a holy life amid ungodly people (204-207).
Cognitive Trans. Leader and Behavioural Therapy , 2022

He will meet the need of his members that has to do with life’s guidance and counseling very effectively. He or she being a good Christian servant leader will encourage his members to devote themselves to reading the word of God to help their spirit, soul and body. He will want them to have a holistic view of their problems with the desire to desist from what could be dangerous or harmful to them as the light of the word of God is illuminated in their lives through the instrumentality of the word of God. Christian counselors who are leaders are great leaders because they understand psychological techniques in handling their followers and because they allow God's word to direct the affairs of their lives (Colossians 3:16).
The therapist is known in this paper as a servant leader whose loving intention may not be quickly understood by the followers, but he is genuine. It means that one hardly understands the leader by mare looking at his or her facial disposition. One could mistakenly term such a cognitive behavioral therapy’s oriented leader to be very hard or wicked because of his or her desire for change in the organization. But with time, as the leader demonstrates care and compassion towards the followers, they may eventually understand that the very person they took him or her to be too reserved or complex yesterday is not tough as they earlier insinuated (Palena, 2020).
Peelings (2021:n.p.) argues that cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) helps the leader to develop greater empathy on the followers and tries to practice love and care on them in the form of psychological management of human behavior that can be very effective in solving a range of Church member’s problems. The Church leader at this dimension serves as a servant leader who places greater emphasis on healing the mind of his or her followers, particularly those suffering from various social and mental deficiencies. The leader serves as a servant leader whose focus is to bring succor or necessary healing to the mind of his or her people by providing enabling environment that results in the needed help that his or her members need at a particular point in time. He or she gives specific attention to attempting to help his or her followers at all times by counseling them on how best to overcome their pressing challenges. As a Transformational Christian leader in the Church, he or she works assiduously towards ameliorating the various suffering faced by his or her members (Corey, 2013: 7-12).
Pastoral Psychotherapy, 2021

It is principally a counseling method that is based on the principle of Choice Theory (CT) with a particular attention on practical skills and the behavioral act of the client at the given time. It tries to coach, teach, mentor, manage, relate, and supervise the client on self-development centered on stress management, anger management, and self-esteem program, among others. It concerns the counselor to emphasize the right way of life that should be differentiated from the wrong way of life regardless of what happened to the client at a particular time. It attempts to help us manage clients to effectively overcome life challenges in optimism that things will get better soon. It enables the client’s future life to be better organized and prepared as we planed now to enjoy the best of his or her choices in life. The writer in this paper attempts to help the counselor use the most appropriate counseling approach in assisting persons in the contemporary Church who are suffering from anxiety, sleeplessness and depression. The writer finds that many persons tend to fake their behavior to act in a way they think will favor them, even if such an act may not be acceptable in the community. Some of these people are not deliberately behaving in such a way but are doing so unconsciously. When such individual happens to be in the counseling session, the counselors should help them organize reality therapy to help correct such unacceptable behavior. This paper examines the term reality therapy, its place, and its uses in the life of the Christian clients. It attempts to enlighten the counselor on the best way of attending to clients involved in such wrong behavior to correct their actions.

It can be a natural landscape that forms all non-human features, outlooks, characteristics, and processes. The environment consists of all habitats, including mountains, sky, roads, seas and all vegetation. “It connotes a self-generating, self-sustaining system” which God has a great interest in man to preserve; that may be one of the reasons why God made man to be very intelligent above every of His creation. One cannot wonder why soon after the design of the world, God seeks man’s attention to preserve the environment. He took the man and positioned him in the Garden of Eden to tend it and take proper care of our domain (Genesis 2:15) (Akande, (2014:147-163).
According to Magdoff, (2011:11) Environmental degradation has serious “negative consequences for a number of ancient civilizations most notably Mesopotamia and the Maya, which experienced major collapses due to what are believed to be ecological causes. Problems with deforestation, soil erosion, and salinization of irrigated soils were present throughout antiquity”.

Many believers had backslid in Kaduna in the nineties because they were told that the Pastor of Household of Faith turned to snake in the Church. And the founder of Gospel Chapel also in Kaduna, who was known to be preaching sound doctrine, suddenly changed to be preaching prosperity and was caught romancing a girl in the Church premises. Most often, when the contemporary ministers of the gospel find that God has forsaken them, the gift of the miracle they perform in the past is no longer in operation. They tend to be resolved to use fetish power to remain relevant in the pulpit even when God is no longer the one using them. Often, these ministers started well and are teaching the right teaching of the gospel in the inception until sin and worldliness are found in them and God forsake them.

This is a sower relationship pattern between husband and wife in a family relationship. It is such a kind of behavior exhibited by any of the partners in a husband-and-wife relationship that is used to gain or stem power and control over the other partner. It can come from either of the husband or wife. It is often mentioned to as the emotional, physical, economic, sexual, or psychological actions or threats of actions that negatively affect another person. This includes any act exhibited by one partner that terrorizes, frightens, manipulates, intimidate, humiliates, hurts, depressed, blames, injure, threatens or wounds the other spouse in a marriage relationship. This can occur in the life of anybody, be it clergy of the laity. Spouse abuse is not peculiar to gospel ministers alone, and it can happen to anyone of any age, race, religion, educational level, sexual orientation, philosophy, or gender. It can occur within a range of marriage relationships, particularly those married people living together under one roof.
The act of spouse abuse is revealed in various forms. It can be noticeable in the situation where an individual attempts to put his or her partner down, either publicly or privately. This person tries to attack his partner's intelligence and looks down on the partner's mental capabilities. He or she constantly compares the partner unfavourably to others to intimidate the partner’s cognitive ability. He often blames the partner for any slightest problems in their marriage relationship and any violent outbursts in the house. Some even attempt to destroy things that the other partner values in life and harms their pets and properties, inflicts various digress of injuries in the partner's life and ministry, and becomes very cruel in their marriage relationships. Thus, violence or physical abuse is directed toward a person’s spouse, usually known to be violence by men against women, also recently seen as violence, force, and aggression attempt against a person who resists. This is often being crafted in the long or short run against the other marriage partner characterized by force and violence.
0.3 VARIOUS TYPES OF ABUSE VULNERABLE IN THE MINISTER’S FAMILY
Abuse falls into various types and forms depending on the severity of the situation and the defenselessness of the person suffering from the oppression and the oppressor's character. It is apparent in this paper that “power corrupts and absolute power corrupt absolutely.” Some abuses are orchestrated by one party struggling to overpower or suppress the other spouse, which is leading to various abuse’s vulnerability. Indeed, every human being is political power, but both parties involved in marriage should have established that one’s ability ends where the other person’s starts. In the minister’s family, the Pastor can be told to be involved in spouse abuse when they make life very difficult for the spouse. It is important to note that the regular use of other insulting behaviors by the abuser can make up a larger abuse scheme when strengthened by one or more acts of literal or physical violence. Even though it is possible for physical assaults to occur only once or occasionally, they instill the distress associated with future violent attacks and allow the abuser to control the sufferer’s life and circumstances. At this point, one can categorically state that the minister, whether male or female, can cause great harm to the spouse psychologically and physically.

One can frequently ask himself, how effective is the Blood of Christ? It is this that we are forgiven of our sins (Ephesians 1:7). It is only in Christ that one finds solace and redemption of life from sin. He is qualified to obliterate our sins as seek forgiveness thereof, since he can shed his blood by literally dying on the cross for human persons, he had a special way of making this known to his disciples during the Last Supper. In the Last supper, he deliberately referred to it as the celebration meal of Passover. He said, “For this is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins” (Matthew 26:28). The purpose of the blood of Jesus is here for the forgiveness of their sins. Furthermore, in the Old Testament, one finds many scriptures referring to the blood's efficacy in sacrifice. The Priest is expected to make an atonement for the sinner before the LORD and it shall be exonerated him for any sin of all that he hath committed in trespassing therein. (Leviticus 6:7) other scriptures that are quoted herein points on the efficacy of the blood sacrifice as identified in O.T.

This means, baptism serves as a symbol that reminds the baptized Christian that he or she is not longer in darkness but in the light and should live according to the light. The baptized Christian has agreed to live in newness of life. He or she does away with worldliness and holds to Christ-likeness at all times (Colossians 2:11-12). It is the special ritual for most Christian Churches, called a “Sacrament” which in other denominations could be called “holy mystery” by denominations such as Catholic Church. John the Baptist pointed on one person to be regarded as more significant than him who will come to baptize God’s people with the Holy Spirit and Fire. Baptism right from its inception was approved to be instituted by Jesus Christ. The earliest Christians were baptized by immersion. Thus, Baptism means an ordinance that requires the deepening of an individual into the water following the example of John the Baptist. The Evangelical Reformed Church of Christ (ERCC) baptizes its Church members by immersion. Those who want to do well in their relationship with God often get baptized (Acts 8:13).

Some partners are sexual addicts even though they never had sex outside their matrimonial homes. Yet, it is necessary to trust God to help the counselors by preparing them to answer such pertinent problems that tend to tear Christian families in these years of information overload (Laaser, 2004: 25-27). While the Holy Spirit is available to help the believers in the families curb various pressing challenges, the Holy Spirit has endured many matured Christians to teach the accurate word of God to help the lives of the members of the Church in the contemporary era. A couple may not know that he or she is violating the partner sexually. Others are aware but are not doing anything to help the situation.
This study reveals that the Christian couple can abuse the partner speaking derogatory languages and calling names against the partner, and this is becoming alarming because people tolerate it. He or she may refuse to use contraceptives during sex as the need may arise, the fellow may deliberately cause unwanted physical pain or damage to the partner during sex. Some partners also cause sexually induced domestic violence by slowly passing on sexually transmitted diseases to the partners. A person may even know the implication of passing these infections but will deliberately refuse to inform the partner about the importance of having sex while suffering from such diseases. The paper tries to help the victim of sexual violence in Christian homes to effectively manage their challenges by allowing the Holy Spirit in them to work. At the same time, the Holy Spirit also helps the counselors that are placed over their lives to counsel them in the best way to overcome all forms of sexually induced domestic violence pressing challenges in their Christian life.

It is important for both the young and the older believers alike. The book reject certain acts that is gradually been renamed and tactically soften to suit into the Church. The author states that pornography is a mental fornication and should never be accepted into the body of Christ as a norm. it should be named clearly as fornication. (pp. 394-395) in the society today, the use of pornography is getting more and more ground even among the so called ministers of the gospel it is used by the enemy to destroy marriages and to corrupt society. And it is only the law of God being the Bible being the manual for Christian living that can speak directly in confronting such act in the body of Christ today. Many Christians think that, such act is only meant to entertain the heart, but the truth is that it also destroys or corrupt the heart of the believers in the long run. It is impossible to look at something with an unholy mind and to expect that such thinking will not affect the heat of the person that is reading or watching such corrupt properties of materials in the body of Christ are seriously discouraged in this book under review.

The world is experiencing stern fear due to the pandemic that befalls it recently. The Pastor stands a chance to disciple more people now than he could ever do years back. He could use this time to bring courage and confidence in his members' lives as God has first graced him to be able to control his emotions. The Pastor is also human, and he feels pains and experiences hunger just like every other inhabitant of Nigeria. He is however realistically confronted with the challenge of providing for his family with spiritual and physical provision while at the same time being preoccupied with the effective kingdom business of effectively shepherding of God’s people in the Church. His wrong disposition of temperament in this era of pandemic may affect his ministry even if he has been known for years to be a kind-hearted and loving Church minister who will not fail. The Pastor should rather trust God to use this pandemic time appropriately as a gospel minister to evangelize the gospel of Jesus Christ by first living a different life worth emulation and then serving as an excellent example to others who need his help. What should a pastor do in the situation we all face when food items have escalated during this pandemic, and members are in dire need of comfort? It is clear here that the pandemic did not come when anyone has the foreknowledge of its occurrence, so there was no prior preparation before the emergence of the disease. Human being are known to exhibits any of the four temperaments, namely: Sanguine, Melancholic, Phlegmatic and Choleric but the Pastor however does not have excuse as to any of these temperament manifesting in his life. He is expected to be filled with the Holy Spirit and manifest great self-control among other gifts and fruit of the Holy Spirit.
