Expressions for the dispersion relations and the associated normal modes in these waveguides are provided in the paper; some of which are expressed implicitly in terms of certain linear combinations of the Chebyshev polynomials. The effect of next-nearest-neighbour interaction is also included for the square lattice waveguides. It is found that localized propagating waves, so called surface wave modes, occur in the triangular lattice strips, as well as square lattice strips with next-nearest-neighbour interactions, when either or both boundaries are free. In this paper, the even and odd modes are also discussed separately, wherever applicable. Graphical illustrations of the dispersion curves are included for all waveguides. The discrete waveguides analysed in the paper have broad applications in physics and engineering, including their merit in classical problems in elasticity, acoustics and electromagnetism, as well as recent technological issues involving various transport phenomena in quasi-one-dimensional nano-structures.

Social, planner and criminal justice system have seldom been able to control it effectively. Statistics both from developed and developing countries on crime or delinquency reveal an upward trend. Indian society has not been immune from this. It is rather a basic social problem which is seen in our community, religions, castes and classes. The present study was conducted on 200 male convicts 25-40 years age taken from Patna Jail, out of which 100 will be notorious criminals and 100 will be trivial criminal. Personal Data Schedule, Eysenck Personality Questionnaire, General Intelligence Test and materials used in this present work.

In today's world, stress has become a very serious problem and worldwide phenomenon, which occurs in various forms in every workplace. This article deals with stress its cause and effect on thoughts, feelings and behavior especially for Police constables. The present study was conducted on 100 Police constables between 40-50 years age taken from different Police stations of Patna district. The study was based on pre and post intervention with follow-up assessment design and selection of the subject was purposive sampling. Socio-demographic and Clinical Data Sheet, Eysenck's Personality Questionnaire, Perceived stress scale, Self instruction Training Schedule tools used for assessment.
