Sequential multiple case study design was employed to observe two cohorts of four pre-service teachers who worked in two phases of professional development to design and enact Accounting audio-visual supported lessons. Data for the study were collected through observation, interview, lesson documents and questionnaires. Content and thematic analysis procedures were used to analyse the qualitative data, whilst means and standard deviation were used to analyse the quantitative data. It emerged from the results that the pre-service teachers developed their TPACK significantly through the professional development arrangement. The study also revealed that the teachers themselves developed knowledge of their subject matter which they teach much better when they designed and prepared to enact the audio-visual lessons. One limiting factor however, that impeded their proficient TPACK development, was lack of ICT resources. Consequently, the study advocates that key stakeholders in education must put priority on the provision of ICT facilities in Ghanaian schools; easy access to ICT resources will certainly contribute to teachers’ use of ICT innovations in schools.

Accordingly, this present study aimed to compare classroom learning effectiveness during the coronavirus pandemic to the effectiveness before the coronavirus pandemic at the University of Cape Coast. The performance of students in both teaching and learning modes was also compared. This study was a case study research, and both primary and secondary data were employed. The effectiveness was measured using course content, pedagogical approaches, interactivity and assessment, feedback and evaluation. Data on effectiveness was collected using a questionnaire, and students' assessment was used to measure their performance. The data were analyzed using a paired-sample t-test embedded in Statistical Package for Social Sciences version 26. The results show that classroom learning was more effective than online learning. Additionally, the students exhibited good academic performance in classroom learning than online learning, although the difference was not statistically significant. The contribution of the findings is discussed.

A multiple case study design was used to observe and interview 24 accounting teachers who were purposefully selected from three pre-tertiary institutions in Ghana. The interview guide and focus group discussion guide were the main instruments used to collect data and were analysed thematically. The study revealed that achievement tests, reasoning skills and problem-solving skills were the predominant strategies employed by teachers in identifying GATS. It emerged further from the study that all the teachers involved in the study do not prepare differentiated lessons for GATS and therefore teach all the students in the classroom with different learning needs the same content at the same time. Thus, the study recommends that the various stakeholders and policymakers in education such as Ghana Education Serv...

The study discovered that Business Studies teachers have the most intense concerns self-concerns (Awareness, Informational and Personal) least intense concerns at Impact concerns (e.g., Consequence) about SBA implementation in the curriculum. Further, the study establishe...
