ChemInform Abstract Die N-Alkylierung von 2-Oxazolidon mit Benzylchlorid, Bu-Br und Allylbromid i... more ChemInform Abstract Die N-Alkylierung von 2-Oxazolidon mit Benzylchlorid, Bu-Br und Allylbromid im Phasentransfer-System fest-flüssig in Benzol wird in Abhängigkeit vom Katalysator (die besten Ergebnisse liefert Triethylbenzylammoniumchlorid), der zugesetzten Base K3CO3, NaOH, KOH) und den Temp/Zeit-Bedingungen untersucht. Die Ausb. liegen unter optimalen Bedingungen bei 88-91%.

The pyrolysis of ethylene bis(N-phenolcarbamate) was studied as the simplest model of a polyureth... more The pyrolysis of ethylene bis(N-phenolcarbamate) was studied as the simplest model of a polyurethane. The degradation occurs by a double process of decomposition involving the simultaneous formation of 3-phenyl-2-oxasolidone, carbon dioxide, and aniline and a partial dissociation into monocarbamate and phenyl isocyanate. Further reaction produces ethylene oxide, N, N'-diphenylethylenediamine, N, N'-diphenyl-2imidasolidone, and N,N'-diphenylurea.

The purpose of this work is to try to estimate for the first five days the extent of As, Pb, Cd b... more The purpose of this work is to try to estimate for the first five days the extent of As, Pb, Cd bioaccumulation by Meretrix Lyrata mussels in artificial media of culture contaminated by heavy metals (As at 1.5 and 2.5 ppm, Pb at 1.5 and 2.5 ppm, Cd at 0.1, 0.5, 1 ppm) and that of release in clean water during the following 15 days. Quantitation was performed by ICP and AAS with Hydride System. Bioaccumulation increased with heavy metal concentrations in water and in the oder Pb > Cd > As. Release was also observed to increase with the amounts of absorbed metals. After 20 days of experiments, following figures of metal release were obtained (As~100%, Pb~68.9%, and Cd~39.65%). In the case of Cd contamination, no mussel survived after 10 days of experiments even at low Cd concentration of 0.1ppm. Residue of heavy metals in the body of mussels was metabolited to another chemical form. Inogranic Cd was metabolited to Cd-metallothionein and detected by LC/MS ESI(+). As was metabolited to monomethyl arsonic acid (MMA), dimethylarsinic acid (DMA) and detected by HPLC-UV-AAS-HG, and Pb was metabolited to photsphat hydroxyt lead [Pb 5 (OH)(PO 4) 3 ]-which was detected by XRD.

Abstract Unsaturated polyester prepolymer was synthesized from maleopimaric acid (MPA), diethylen... more Abstract Unsaturated polyester prepolymer was synthesized from maleopimaric acid (MPA), diethylene glycol (DEG) and maleic anhydride (MA) in the molar proportions 1:4:3 respectively. MPA was prepared from natural rosin and MA. Kinetic studies of the reaction were performed, and the reactivities of MPA, MA and phthalic anhydride (PA) with respect to diethylene glycol were compared. Copolymerized with styrene, this prepolymer gave samples with higher Vicat distortion temperatures than usual commercial samples prepared from PA, MA and propylene glycol, while mechanical properties such as modulus and strength were similar.
