Many of them have contracted the disease, and some of them already dead. This study assessed the knowledge, compliance with preventive measures and determined the relationship between knowledge and practice of preventive strategies to COVID-19 among nurses working in a selected hospital in South-South Nigeria. Materials and methods: A cross-sectional descriptive design guided the study. Census method guided the recruitment of all the 378 nurses in the hospital who met the study's inclusion criteria. Results: Majority (360 [95.2%]) of the nurses had good knowledge of the preventive measures to COVID-19 and 311 (82.4%) of the nurses adhere strictly to practice of the preventive strategies to COVID-19. Educational level and years of experience are determinants of knowledge about preventive measures to COVID-19 (p<0.05 respectively) while knowledge, sex, level of education, years of experience, and unit of practice are determinants of compliance to preventive measures to COVID-19 among the nurses (p<0.001). Female nurses (p=0.012), RN/RM qualified nurses (p=0.037), nurses with more than five years of experience, and those in children ward (p=0.020) and maternity complex (p=0.003) significantly comply more to the preventive measures for COVID-19 as shown by their adjusted odds ratios. Conclusion: As knowledge of COVID-19 preventive strategies continues to increase among health workers, there is a need to translate this knowledge into adequate practice in order to minimise the hazardous effect of the pandemic on the health workers especially nurses.

Data were collected using a self-structured questionnaire titled "Predictors of Utilization of Intermittent Preventive Treatment of Malaria in Pregnancy Questionnaire (PUIPTPQ)".The research questions were answered using mean scores and standard deviations. In testing the hypotheses at.05 level of significance set for this study, z-test statistic was used. Results: The responses of the respondents on how parity predicts utilization of IPTp showed that the cluster mean was 2.80 with a corresponding standard deviation of 0.82.The responses of the respondents on how level of education predicts utilization of IPTp showed that their cluster mean was 3.02 with a corresponding standard deviation of .83. The responses of the respondents on how employment predicts utilization of IPTp showed that their cluster mean was 3.00 with a corresponding standard deviation of .81.The responses of the respondents on how marital status predicts utilization of IPTp showed that their cluster mean was 3.03 with a corresponding standard deviation of .82. The responses of the respondents on how antenatal visits predict utilization of IPTp showed that their cluster mean was 2.91 with a corresponding standard deviation of .80. The responses of the respondents on how gestational age at booking predicts the utilization of IPTp showed that their cluster mean was 2.95 with a corresponding standard deviation of .83. Conclusion: The study concluded that factors like parity, level of education, employment status, marital status, scheduled antenatal visits and gestational age at booking affect the utilization of intermittent preventive treatment of malaria among pregnant women in rural areas in Enugu State. Descriptive cross-sectional design was adopted for the study. The participants were 315 nursing students who were selected by simple random sampling technique. Instrument used for data collection were the researcher's demographic questionnaire and an adapted CLES+T evaluation scale/questionnaire. Data were analyzed using SPSS software version 23. Descriptive statistics was presented in frequency tables and percentages, some were weighted using the five-point likert-like scale, while inferential statistics of chi-square was used to determine the association between the variables in the hypotheses at p-value <0.005 significance level. Findings showed that the level of perception of the students towards preceptorship was good-88.9%. It was revealed that the class level (X 2 = 4.70:p=0.195); gender (X 2 = 0.06: p=0.808), and nursing program (X 2 = 0.26: p=0.871) of the students had no significant relationship with their level of perception towards preceptorship. Evaluation of the perception of the student nurses towards preceptorship program is a great asset in nursing education. The knowledge and practice could help the nursing institutions, preceptors and the professional body to make better and productive plans; knowing the students' potentials and weaknesses, and finding best ways to maximize and lay focus respectively. Individual evaluation of the student nurses should be considered, where possible and evaluative collaboration between hospital management and nursing institutions are recommended.
