After 1950, the mines from OcnaSugatag were closed and shortly after that were flooded. This event started a series of changes in the structures of theold mines determining the collapse of some of them and has weakened the stability of others. The collapsing of themines determined the formation on the surface of several crumblings and affecting seriously the environment becauseof these crumblings, due to expulsion of salt water from the mines which destroyed the vegetation from the nearby areaand the fauna from local rivers. In Ocna Sugatag, by this way, were formed 46 lakes. The paper presents a detailedanalysis of one of these lakes by presenting their formation mechanism, morphological characteristics and the impactover the environment. Besides of negative impact over the environment of th...

The experimental plot was emplaced in classic "Prinz-Dokkum" glasshouses from Baia Mare, Romania. The experimental factors where: control (without the influence of wide length infrared radiations) and tested experimental factor (with the influence of wide length infrared radiations). The research and observation activity followed the main steps: on-line microclimate monitoring for the following parameters: temperature 22°C (18-22°C) and relative air humidity 55% (50-70%), seedling monitoring for 7 species of vegetables and 4 species of flowers, phonological and biometrical measurements, glasshouse environment monitoring, photo recordings for the main stages of growth and development, prevailing and creating a data base with the help of different electronic devices. The obtained results reveal that the presented technology can be successfully implemented in protected spaces cultivation, the next step of research consisting in practical optimizations in a modern agriculture.

So, it can be a challenge to study the potential for the implementation of far-infrared radiation technology in different domains by taking into account the multiplicity of factors, such as climatic and micro-climatic conditions, microbial loading of air, effects on plants and soil, effects over animals, prolusions over general health and comfort status of human being. In the last several years, the applicability of this kind of technology has been studied from two different perspectives: environment and human habitats. The results from this research field are regarding the effect of far-infrared radiations upon different types of vegetable crops, under a direct monitoring of microclimate in “Prinz-Dokkum” type glasshouses. The research activity followed the main steps: on-line microclimate monitoring for temperature and relative air humidity, growing up monitoring for some species of vegetables and flowers, phenological and biometrical measurements, general monitoring for the greenhouse like a habitat, photo recordings of the main stages of growth and development, prevailing and creating a data base with the help of different electronic devices. The obtained results reveal that the far-infrared radiation technology can be successfully implemented in greenhouse. The germination period for the seeds is shorter for all the species cultivated under the influence of far-infrared radiation, compared with conventionally cultivated species. For certain species, such as tomatoes, cucumbers, eggplants or peppers, important differences in their growth were observed but for other species no important differences in growth or coloring were found. This paper aims to prove that in Romania can host a relatively new, costly efficient and sustainable remediation technique for contaminated mining sites, namely phytoremediation. The applicability of phytoremediation for remediation of contaminated areas was proven by several demonstration projects carried out worldwide. It has a very positive impact on the landscape aesthetics, resulting in a high public acceptability. Moreover, the climate and soil conditions in Romania allow the use of several plant species which can remove contaminants from water and soil. It is therefore concluded that the successful implementation of phytoremediation on contaminated mining sites in Romania can be achieved, but under certain conditions. These conditions include the promotion of this technology by finding appropriate ways to transfer know-how and to build capacity at the level of public institutions and organizations dealing with remediation of the mining areas.

This paper analyses with the finite elements method stress and strain states in consideration with the wooden nature and characteristics (being 200…300 years old), with the type of the loads (dead load – self weight, wind, etc.), the element stability and entire structure in its ensemble. The specific geometry of these structures played an important role in the performed calculus.

The environmental approach focused merely on a case-study in Baia Mare city. Here, the potential for the implementation has been investigated by taking into account the multiplicity of factors: electric energy-consume climatic and micro-climatic conditions, microbial loading of air and effects over animals, effects on plants and soil, prolusions over general health and comfort status of human being. Nowadays, life is to be better if innovative alternative technologies are given a chance to prove their applicability and use. By studying new types of heating systems, new and simple ways in adopting a "green" life style is proposed.
