Pembangunan perikanan yang dengan mengoptimalkan potensi perikanan daerah yang ada agar mempunyai... more Pembangunan perikanan yang dengan mengoptimalkan potensi perikanan daerah yang ada agar mempunyai nilai ekonomis lebih yang secara langsung akan mengurangi kondisi masyarakat pesisir yang kurang untuk menuju kondisi yang lebih baik. Dengan memaksimalkan atau mengoptimalkan potensi perikanan yang ada didaerah sekitar juga merupakan salah satu langkah untuk membangun sektor perikanan menjadi sektor yang bisa menjadi sektor andalan daerah tersebut. Secara garis besar kajian ini bisa dikatakan secara diskriptif kualitatif dengan tipe analitik kualitatif dengan beerupaya mengungkapkan secara luas potensi yang selama ini telah dimanfaatkan serta upaya pengembangan pemanfaatan potensi perikanan yang akan berdampak pada peningkatan pendapatan masyarakat nelayan. The problem faced was so far, the shrimp shell waste has not been processed into products that have high selling value, namely in the form of organic fertilizer and liquid fertilizer containing chitin. The research objective was to formulate strategy in the effort to develop shrimp shell waste processing business. This research is a descriptive with quantitative and qualitative approach and was held in May-October 2018. Locations in Situbondo and Banyuwangi Regencies. Respondents came from 2 districts, namely Situbondo and Banyuwangi Regency. Data collection techniques with FGD and filling out questionnaires. Data analysis using SWOT analysis and QSPM. The purpose of this study was to determine the readiness of the fishing community in the implemen... more The purpose of this study was to determine the readiness of the fishing community in the implementation of the Minister of Marine and Fisheries Regulation No. 2 of 2015, and the effect of the enactment of it on fishing communities. Data collection method was interview, Focus Group Discussion (FGD) as well as data documentation and literature, analysis using expert judgment. Fishermen feel unprepared due to the fishing gear used are derived from their ancestors and that was they knew. The use of trawl gear types and cantrang have had a good economic impact for fishermen but it would be bad for the environment while gill net fishing gear types have less positive impact on fishermen's income but it will not have negative consequences for the environment in the preservation of biological resources. Viewed from the longest life cycle of the fish so if the Minister of Marine and Fisheries Regulation No. 2 of 2015 would be applied takes at least 7 to 9 years to return to normal condition with the efforts of stakeholders. Recommendation is the government provides continuous mentoring program on the use of new fishing gear, giving compensation to the fishermen in the form of income support programs to the preservation of biological returned to normal and improve the environment continuously.
