The letters inform the current governor of the Colony, Philip Gidley King, of the various illicit drinking parties, distillers and distilleries operating in the Richmond Hawkesbury district in 1806. A separate tracing of these two graffiti is here provided, distinguishing each by script, accompanied by a new critical edition of these texts with notes on transcription, orthography, morphology, lexicology, and critical notes. Both texts are of the nature of sexual boasts, the first composed by a homosexual man, the second by a heterosexual woman.
