First, the wave equation is presented and its qualities analyzed. Common principles of numerical approximation of derivatives are then reviewed. Based on them, the Finite Difference (FD) and the Finite Element Methods (FEM) for the solution of the wave equation are presented along with algorithmic and practical considerations.

Endometriosis involving the rectus abdominis muscle is a very rare event and its rarity explains the incomplete nature of the reports in the literature. The true incidence of endometriosis is unknown, but it is estimated that 15 percent of females have some degree of the disease. It is second only to dysmenorrhea as the etiology for cyclic pain in females of reproductive age.(1) We report the case of which came to our observation, a woman with endometriosis of the abdominal wall. The diagnosis was made by the histopathological analysis of the specimens.

The DARthroplasty technique is a two-part process that involves applying bone graft to increase the femoral head coverage with a low morbidity rate and the long term is known results. OBJECTIVES: This study was aimed to investigate the radiographic and clinical changes after transplanting the rib allograft impregnated with PRP and MSCs in the treatment of hip dysplasia in a dog. The current study was conducted to assess the effectiveness of modified DARthroplasty. METHODS:12 dogs were selected, all of them operated by the modified induced hip dysplasia. Afterward, an approximately 25 mm segment rib was harvested and transplanted at slot approximately 7 mm broad and 12.5 mm high, close craniodorsally to the joint capsule origin, and secured with a 2 mm cortical bone screw in each recipient dog. PRP and MSCs were injected into the gap around allograft. Subsequently, they were...

DesignExperimental study AnimalsFive adult male dogs ProceduresIn this research, 5 adult male Iranian mixed-breed dogs with a mean age of 7.30 ± 2.77 years and a mean weight of 27 ± 5.7 kg with clinical symptoms of prostatitis were selected. Sagittal and transverse ultrasound images were performed by using a 5 MHZ convex transducer. ResultsIn the obtained images desired parameters such as length, width and height of the prostate gland were measured before and after administration of Nigella sativa. Results showed significant differences between all measured parameters before and after drug administration (p < 0.05). Conclusion and Clinical RelevanceThis study confirms that Nigella sativa oil can reduce prostatic dimensions in adult male dogs. So, it can be used as a safe and effective drug for the treatment of prostate-related diseases such as benign prostati...

Design- Experimental in vitro study Animals- Four intact, male, mongrel dogs, 8-10 months-old were selected to collect PDLSCs from their teeth. Procedures- The dogs were anesthetized and the first maxillary and mandibular premolars were extracted for the isolation of periodontal ligament cells (PDLCs). Canine PDLCs were plated and culture expanded through 3 successive subcultures. The resultant cells were then plated at differentiating conditions into bone and adipose cell lineages in order to confirm their mesenchymal stem cell character. Furthermore for the first time we studied PDLSCs ultrastructural morphology by scanning and transmission electron microscopy (SEM and TEM). Results- based to our observations, isolated canine PDLSCs exhibited mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) characteristics such as fibroblastic a...

The radiographic interpretation from thoracic and lumbosacral region revealed multiple fractures of left wing of pelvic bone, dislocation of left hip joint, separation of left tuber coxae and complete separation of pelvic symphysis. Clinical checked up showed, the few minutes scratches on both legs skin and missing completely left paw, due to his aggressive behaviors and self mutilation a day before surgery were noticed. The pelvic internal fragmental alignment was done. The cat regained full consciousness after 6 hours, and then showed inclination for drinking and food tasting. The weak groaning intermediate sound used to be heard during recovery period, despite of repeated analgesic medication, the cat was left in the cage with control ambient temperature in so...

On the other hand, Cell tracking is the first step of the cell-based therapies and is essential to recognize cell fate post transplantation. OBJECTIVES: The aim of this study was to isolate, characterize, and transduce cBM-MSCs. METHODS: Canine Bone Marrow-derived Mesenchymal Stem Cells (cBM- MSCs) were isolated from bone marrow of dogs and characterized based on morphology, differentiation capacities, and surface marker expressions. For the first time, we labeled cBM-MSCs by GFP-encoding lentiviral vector to track them. RESULTS: cBM-MSCs were successfully isolated and pro- liferated. Morphologically, these cells were similar to other MSCs from other sources and species and were able to differentiate into osteocytes and adipocytes. cBM-MSCs expressed surface marker CD44 but were not able to...

Animals were randomly allocated to 7 different treatment groups and administered KET (45 mg/kg) i.m. and i.v., KET-XYL (35 and 5 mg/kg), KET-ACP (35 and 1 mglkg), KET-XYL-ACP (35,5 and 1 mglkg), KET-XYL-DIZ (35, 5 and 2 mg/kg) and KET-ACP-DIZ (35,1 and 2 mglkg) i.m. Animals with KET-XYL-DIZ combination had the longest recovery time (186.5±19.7 min), while animals receiving KET i.v. had the shortest recovery time (33.15±1534 min). KET-XYL, KET-XYL-ACP and KET-XYL-DIZ combinations lowered both heart and respiratory rates while KET (i.v. and i.m.) and KET-ACP combinations increased heart and respiratory rates. KET-ACP-DIZ combination increased heart rate but decreased the respiratory rate. Hypothermia was generally evident in all treatment grou...

The Naphthalene particles were used as pore forming agent. The conventional pressing and sintering were utilized to prepare disc shape samples. The sintering were carried out at the temperatures 1000, 1100 and 1200 °C. The phase composition and chemical structure analyses were performed using XRD and FTIR experiments. The morphological aspects of scaffolds such as pore size and distribution and their interconnectivities were studied by SEM.

In third group, the created hole was filled with autologous PRP (1 ml intra-articular) for three times with one week interval. In the fourth group, the defect area was subjected to low level laser therapeutic regimen of low level laser irradiation with (P= 100 mW, WL= 650 nm, A = 1 J cm 2 , T= 1 minute) for 15 days. Whereas in the fifth group, the area was immediately subjected to therapeutic regimen of l...
