This study investigates the underlying mechanisms and boundary conditions that explain the relati... more This study investigates the underlying mechanisms and boundary conditions that explain the relationship between transformational leadership and frontline employee performance. Specifically, it explores the mediating role of organizational identification and work engagement in the relationship between transformational leadership and job performance and organization-directed citizenship behaviors. Additionally, it examines whether proactive personality moderates the effect of transformational leadership on identification and engagement. Data from 323 frontline hotel employees were analyzed using partial least square regression. Results show that identification and engagement fully mediate the relationship between transformational leadership and organizational citizenship behaviors, whereas engagement partially mediates the link between transformational leadership and job performance. Results indicate a sequential mediation effect of identification and engagement on employee performance. Finally, findings show that proactive personality strengthens the effect of leadership on identification and engagement. The study provides information for hotel managers about why and under what circumstances employees perform the way they do.

Hiring in the current age is candidate driven. Competitive success of organizations has made it imperative for the recruiters to draw right talent. A vital appropriate digitalized professional social networking platform facilitates the recruiters to connect personally and professionally. The study attempts to analyze effectiveness of LinkedIn as a digitalized SNS platform by analyzing information content and website usability. Research was conducted through a structured questionnaire in Delhi, NCR with a sample size of 125 recruiters. Factor analysis was applied to identify varied attributes of the LinkedIn for its adoption by talent acquisition teams. These changes have many influences; one of the vital influence is on recruitment program undertaken by the organizations on one end and job search activity undertaken by millennial job seekers on the other end. Online recruitment has become an important platform for hunting best talent. Thus it is imperative to study and identify the factors affecting online job search among students of Delhi from state and private university. A total of 150 respondents administered to the online questionnaire. To analyze the data, statistical tools, viz Factor Analysis, One Way ANOVA and POST HOC were tested on IBM-SPSS 21. Result identified various factors affecting the perception of millennial and post millennial towards online recruitment and the significant difference among job seekers of different age group towards different factors.
