The survey of literature related to benzothiazoles reveals the presence of the bicyclic ring system in various amine or errestrial natural compounds, which have useful biological properties. Benzothiazole derivatives possess a wide spectrum of biological applications such as antitumor, antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory, anticonvulsants, antifungal activity.The present work explains the synthesis of derivatives of 7-chloro-6fl uorobenzothi azo I e -2 -yl-hy dr azones.

The present paper describes the synthesis and antibacteriql activitv of new benzohydrazide deriva... more The present paper describes the synthesis and antibacteriql activitv of new benzohydrazide derivatives derived ft"om 2,4-dichlorobenzoic acid and using certain heterocyclic aldetrydes. The newly synthesized benzoltydrazide 4a-49 **ere screened against four bacterial strctins viz., Escherichiq coli, Pseudomonas aentginosa, Staphylococcus ctureus, Staphylococcus pyogenes. Results of the antibacterial data revealed that compounds 4d, 4e, 4f and 49 exhibited good antibacterial activity with reference to the standartl drug.
