Analytical approaches derived from numerical simulations are not appropriated under these conditions. Therefore, we use MINIMOS-NT to perform full 3D physics-based simulations of a two-drain MAGFET. Research paper thumbnail of The theory of high quality electromagnetic oscillations in the multilayer spherical resonator

13th International Conference on Microwaves, Radar and Wireless Communications. MIKON - 2000. Conference Proceedings (IEEE Cat. No.00EX428), 2000

The paper investigates the selection of the electromagnetic modes of a dielectric sphere in a com... more The paper investigates the selection of the electromagnetic modes of a dielectric sphere in a compound multilayer resonator of optical frequencies. The waveguide properties of the spherical stack are investigated for systems of optical layers with arbitrary ratio between layer thickness and wavelength. The appropriate matrix formalism is developed. Both the reflection coefficient and the impedance of the stack are calculated. Depending on the number of layers, it is possible to decrease sharply the impedance of the system. It is shown that increasing the number of layers in the stack considerably increases the quality of oscillations. We offer to use such systems in optical communication systems for processing of signals

It is shown that the possibility of increasing current and the level of controlling power is thanks to the optimal regime of injection for surface integrated p-i-n structure with “deep” junctions. The increase of the diffusion coefficient due to existing electromagnetic wave and the criterion of high-power wave are obtained

Essential peculiarities of the Tomizawa's model has been put forward.

Research paper thumbnail of Propagation of Spin-Dipole Waves of Centimeter and Millimeter Wave Ranges in Inhomogeneous Bias Magnetic Fields

It has been shown that electromagnetic retardation influences the dispersion properties of the backward volume SDW at longitudinal wave numbers k les 150 cm-1 in the millimeter wave range. A propagation of SDW in inhomogeneous bias magnetic fields is considered within the framework of complex geometrical optics. A possibility of the transformation of the type of SDW (from surface SDW to backward volume SDW) has been demonstrated both in centimeter and millimeter wave ranges.

Research paper thumbnail of Two-dimensional simulations of parametric amplification of space charge waves in thin-film n-GaAs possessing negative differential conductivity

An effective frequency up-conversion with amplification in millimeter wave range is demonstrated. The Poisson's equation and the set of quasi-hydrodynamic equations have been simulated by the finite difference method. An influence of transverse inhomogeneity in the plane of the film on three-wave interaction in active medium has been investigated.

Research paper thumbnail of Analog ICs Simulations Using Space Charge Waves-in Two-Valley Semiconductor Films

The 3rd International IEEE-NEWCAS Conference, 2005., 2005

Analog ICs simulations using space charge waves in two-valley semiconductor for microwave and mil... more Analog ICs simulations using space charge waves in two-valley semiconductor for microwave and millimeter range singnal processing is presented. The formulation incorporates the full set of Maxwell's equations and the equations of motion of carriers based on a two-valley fully specified model providing a quantitative description of the space charge waves in thin-film n-GaAs. Numerical solutions to the system of equations indicate that the propagation and amplification of space charge waves in the thin film for four signals with different frequencies is possible. The present formulation can also find application where we need to know the interaction of electromagnetic waves and charge carriers.

This report is devoted to the experimental and theoretical aspects of the nonlinear interaction a... more This report is devoted to the experimental and theoretical aspects of the nonlinear interaction and influence of the acoustic waves on the ionosphere. This nonlinear phenomenon gives the possibility to simulate the acoustic channel of the lithosphere-atmosphere-ionosphere connection, and to investigate experimentally this channel by means of acoustic generators located on the earth surface. The increase of the transparency of the ionosphere for the cosmic radiowaves caused by a low frequency atmospheric acoustic wave is investigated. Atmospheric acoustic wave creates in the ionosphere a periodic structure of the electron density, like the one created by using two high-power radiowave signals. It is shown that if the length of the acoustic wave is equal or larger than the radiowave length, then a resonant transmission of the radiowaves takes place in the ionosphere.

At 77 K the minimum detectable magnetic field B i n is 100 J1T compared to 3.5 mT at 300 K. m The relative magnetic sensitivity Sr increases from 0.046 1'1 at 300 K to 0.223 1'1 at 77 K. The overall enhancement of 35 times in B min and 4.84 times in S,., and the fact that this MFS is fully CMOS compatible, opens the possibility for. the design and fabrication of monolithic cryogenic CMOS magnetic-field-sensing systems.

The conditions of excitation of ion acoustic and dust-acoustic waves are found. The theory presented here focuses on the ion dustacoustic solitons in this magnetized dusty plasma. The density distribution function and potential in these solitons have been obtained. It is shown that the Debye length and the cyclotron radius of charged dust particles define the transverse sizes of dustacoustic solitons. For typical values of the parameters, the estimated sizes of the solitons are several thousand Km, which are in agreement with the observational data.
