Membrane potentials and input resistance were measured in beta‐cells from mouse pancreatic islets of Langerhans in a study designed to assess the role of a K permeability specifically blocked by quinine or quinidine and activated by intracellular calcium ion concentration ([Ca2+])i‐activated PK). 2. Addition of 100 microM‐quinine to the perifusion medium resulted in a 10‐‐30 mV depolarization of the membrane and an increase in the input resistance of ca. 4.10(7) omega. 3. In the absence of glucose, 100 microM‐quinine induced electrical activity. 4. In the presence of glucose, 100 microM‐quinine abolished the burst pattern of electrical activity and very much reduced the graded response of spike frequency normally seen with different concentrations of glucose. 5. Addition of mitochondrial inhibitors, KCN, NaN3, DNP, CCCP, FCCP, to the perifusion medium containing glucose rapidly hyperpolarized the beta‐cell membrane, inducing a concomitant decrease in input resistance. 6. It is valid and generates all the physical quantities of interest: that includes the quark masses, the inner angles of the Cabibbo-Kobayashi-Maskawa unitary triangle, and the phase responsible for the violation of the charge-parity symmetry. To achieve this, we must include non physical phases in the unitary matrices that diagonalize the quark mass matrices to bring the Cabibbo-Kobayashi-Maskawa mixing matrix to its standard form

In this work, we propose new five texture zeros for the mass matrices in the lepton sector in ord... more In this work, we propose new five texture zeros for the mass matrices in the lepton sector in order to predict neutrino masses. In our approach, we extend beyond the Standard Model by assuming Dirac masses for the neutrinos, a feature which allows us to make a theoretical prediction for the lightest neutrino mass in the normal ordering. The textures that were analyzed have enough free parameters to adjust the VtexttinyPMNSV_{\text{\tiny PMNS}}VtexttinyPMNS mixing matrix including the CP-violating phase, the neutrino mass squared differences deltam212,deltam312\delta m_{21}^2, \delta m_{31}^2deltam212,deltam312, and the three charged lepton masses. In order to obtain reliable results, we used two different procedures that are based on the weak basis transformation, a well known technique to analyze textures and their implications for flavor physics. By allowing gauge anomaly cancellation between fermions in different families we find nonuniversa... more By allowing gauge anomaly cancellation between fermions in different families we find nonuniversal solutions for Z' models with the same content of fermions of the standard model plus three right-handed neutrinos. We also impose constraints from the Yukawa interaction terms reducing the number of free paraméters. Our solutions contain as particular cases well-known models in the literature. As an application, we report a model which evades LHC constraints, flavor changing neutral currents and low energy constraints. Simultaneously, the model is able to explain the flavor anomalies in the Wilson coefficients C9(µ) and C10(µ) without modifying the corresponding Wilson coefficients for the first family. In our approach, this procedure is always possible for Z' masses smaller than ∼2.5 TeV

Spanish Abstract: El presente estudio tiene como objetivo explorar los element... more Spanish Abstract: El presente estudio tiene como objetivo explorar los elementos y estrategias que debería contener un programa de formación comercial que utilice la gamificación como una herramienta que facilite el proceso de aprendizaje de la fuerza de ventas de una entidad financiera peruana. Para ello, se utilizó una metodología cualitativa, utilizando como instrumento una entrevista semiestructurada a dos expertos peruanos en gamificación. Los expertos proponen que el desarrollo de la gamificación en la formación comercial debe alinearse a los objetivos de aprendizaje, enfatizar en la tecnología móvil, tener una narrativa sólida, clara y sostenida, y contener elementos continuos de sorpresa para mantener el interés de los vendedores. Finalmente, los expertos coinciden en recomendar el uso de la gamificación como una estrategia para formar comercialmente a la fuerza de ventas. English Abstract: The present study aims to explore the elements and strategies that a commercial training program should contain that uses gamification as a tool that facilitates the learning process of the sales force of a Peruvian financial entity. For this, a qualitative methodology was used, using as an instrument a semi-structured interview with two Peruvian experts in gamification. Experts propose that the development of gamification in business training should align with the learning objectives, emphasize mobile technology, have a strong, clear and sustained narrative, and contain continuous elements of surprise to maintain the interest of sellers. Finally, experts agree in recommending the use of gamification as a strategy to train the sales force commercially.

El objetivo de este trabajo es evaluar por métodos econométricos, si efectivamente tres de los países de América Latina (Brasil, Chile y México) que se autodenominan flotadores, pues sus bancos centrales adoptan esquemas de metas de inflación, y en donde se observa un traspaso magnificado del tipo de cambio a la inflación, utilizan la intervención esterilizada en el mercado cambiario para regular el tipo de cambio

Se reporta un caso de lactante mayor femenino de 2 meses de edad, portador de lesiones cutaneas h... more Se reporta un caso de lactante mayor femenino de 2 meses de edad, portador de lesiones cutaneas hipocromicas, congenitas, con alteracion del desarrollo musculoesqueletico y alteraciones neurologicas leves. El hallazgo histopatologico de las lesiones cutaneas fue compatible con Hipomelanosis de Ito. El cariotipo de fibroblastos de piel y de linfocitos de sangre periferica se reporto como 46, XX normal. Se revisa en la literatura los reportes de alteraciones extracutaneas asociadas y criterios diagnosticos. ABSTRACT We report the case of a 2 months old girl who presented congenital cutaneus hypomelanotic lesions, muscle-skeletal anomalies and mild neurological involvement. the findings of the histopathological study of the cutaneus lesions were compatible with Hypomelanosis of Ito. Skin fibroblast and peripheral blood lymphocytes karytypes were reported as 46, XX normal. We reviewed the noncutaneus associated alterations and diagnosis criteria reported in the literature.
