Th... more The corona virus pandemic has changed the way students learn from physical to online learning. The learning model used will affect how the students understand, especially on subjects that require direct practice such as craft subject. This study aims to explore the learning model used in the online learning system and find out how students understand the material provided. Data collection was carried out on a teacher and 28 students who took these subject at Nurul Fikri Islamic Boarding Senior High School in Cinangka, West Java. This research was conducted using a qualitative method through data collection, data presentation, and conclusion and verification stages. Data were collected through observation, interviews and documentation. The results indicate that the Project Based Learning model used can support the online learning on the Craft Subject. This study is a quasi-experimental research design with non-equivalent post-test only controls group design. Two groups of seventh grade students were included as samples, which receive the experimental class of Inquiry Based Learning treatment while the other group acted as a control group who received the learning process in accordance with the applicable provisions of the curriculum. The data collected in this study is the students reasoning ability which obtained from the test of reasoning ability. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and statistical parametric t-test. Results of independet research shows that there are significant differences in reasoning abilities between the experimental class and control class. This research aims to investigate the effect of using Proteus software as instructional media on students’ achievement in learning microcontroller. The method that used in this research was quasi-experimental design using non-equivalent control group design. Instructional media in the experimental group was using Proteus software, while the control group was using Microsoft Power Point. The sample was chosen by purposive sampling technique with 60 participants. Both of experimental group and control group consists of 30 students. The result shows the improvement of students’ cognitive in the experimental group was obtained 0.60 and for the control group was 0.38. Teachers provide teaching materials with traditional learning media which certainly has an impact on the asking and motivation of students in accepting and developing these lessons. So that teachers are demanded of digital development nowadays to be able to literate digital media in learning. For this reason, this study aims to reveal the digital literacy of teachers in the use of instructional media in the classroom. The research method used is a qualitative descriptive method. Taking research subjects using purposive sampling method. The main instrument in this study was the researchers themselves who were assisted by assistive instruments in the form of depth interview guides. The study was conducted on 4 Vocational Schools consisting of 1 Vocational School in the City of Bandung, 2 Vocational Schools in West Bandung Regency,and 1 Vocational School in Bekasi Regency. The subjects of this study were productive teachers who were in the Vocational School totaling 6 teachers. This interview wanted to reveal about the types of digital media use inside and outside the classroom, the reasons for using digital media, how to use digital media and the obstacles experienced by teachers in using digital media. This research hopes to provide recommendations to vocational teachers, especially productive teachers in digital literacy, the use of learning media in schools and policy makers in schools to support digital facilities that support the learning needs of teachers and students in schools.

Kelas A dan B menggunakan komposisi waktu pembelajaran 60% online 40% face to face, sedangkan kelas C dan D menggunakan prosentase waktu pembelajaran 75% online 25% F2F. Aplikasi mikrokontroler dalam dunia elektronika sangatlah luas, selain digunakan untuk sistem kon... more Aplikasi mikrokontroler dalam dunia elektronika sangatlah luas, selain digunakan untuk sistem kontrol mesin-mesin industri, sistem mikrokontroler juga bisa diaplikasikan untuk mengontrol sebuah modem GSM yaitu handphone. Mikrokontroler dapat mengontrol sebuah modem GSM dengan menggunakan perintah-perintah AT Command, baik untuk menjawab panggilan telepon, membaca SMS ataupun mengirim SMS. Pada tulisan ini digunakan mikrokontroler seri AVR tipe ATMega8535 untuk mengontrol sebuah modem GSM Siemens M35i agar dapat menjawab setiap SMS yang diterima secara otomatis ke pengirimnya. Rangkaian yang digunakan sangat sederhana, yaitu regulator 7805, sistem minimum ATMega8535, dan MAX232. Bahasa program yang digunakan adalah bahasa C, menggunakan CodeVision V2.03.4 Standard. Inti dari pemrograman SMS ini terletak pada penggunaan AT Command dan pemahaman struktur PDU (Protocol Data Unit) sebagai bahasa SMS, dengan memahami kedua hal itu kita dapat mendesain berbagai pelayanan berbasis SMS Gateway.

The impact of the COVID-19 pandemic has greatly affected human activities from various sectors, o... more The impact of the COVID-19 pandemic has greatly affected human activities from various sectors, one of which is the education sector. In the face of this pandemic, educational institutions are instructed to conduct distance or limited learning. Distance learning can be done online by utilizing information and communication technology (ICT), one of which is cloud computing technology. This paper aims to identify and provide an overview of the use of cloud computing technology in learning in the era of the covid 19 pandemic. The method used in the presentation of this paper is the Literature Review methods. The number of relevant articles was obtained as many as 50 articles published in the 2017-2021 range. The results show that the utilization and use of cloud computing technology is currently one of the research trends, cloud computing-based learning can be in the form of e-learning or mobile and can be developed in combination with other technologies. The use of cloud computing technology in the education sector has many benefits, both during the pandemic and after this pandemic ends.

Respondents are vocational teachers who conduct learning activities using e-learning. This survey uses a questionnaire that consists of teacher knowledge of elearning, the preparation, the application, and evaluation of learning using e-learning. This research is descriptive with a survey method. Researchers distributed questionnaires to vocational high school teachers in West Java using Google Form from September to October 2020. There are 15 vocational schools with a total of 82 teachers. After that, the researchers analyzed the collected data. The results show that vocational school teachers perceive e-learning learning as a learning medium using the internet network. This literature study looks at the level of ICT literacy of vocational high school (SMK) teachers. The purpose is to determine the ICT literacy skills of vocational teachers in integrating and assessing ICT learning. The method used is literature review by searching and selecting articles / journals with suitable topics which then are proceed to analysis. The results of this literature study are to look the ICT literacy of vocational school teachers in using technology to conduct learning in the classroom.

The purpose of this research is to know the difference of retention endurance of the students on ... more The purpose of this research is to know the difference of retention endurance of the students on the direct current electric teaching material between the classes that implement the guided inquiry learning model assisted by CmapTools and the class that implements the guided inquiry learning model without the help of CmapTools. This study used a randomized control group pretestposttest design study with posttest administered three times in the interval between posttest for seven days (one week). The sample in this research is the students of X-2 and X-3 class in one of the State Senior High School in Bandung City with the amount of 38 and 36 persons respectively. The results showed that the implementation of guided inquiry learning model assisted by CmapTools could further maintain student retention in direct current electric teaching material compared to the use of guided inquiry learning model without the help of CmapTools.

This study aims to construct secondary students’ critical thinking test (CTS) on heat concept. The instrument test is constructed by Halpern’s critical thinking framework with five domains specific critical thinking. The method which is utilized in this study is 3D+1I (Define, Design, Develop and Implementation) conducted to secondary students who have studied heat concept. The respondents are 30 students of eleventh grade in secondary school. The result of this research was domain specific critical thinking got highest score and the lowest score in domain specific critical thinking was predict the probability event In conclusion, secondary students’ critical thinking test could measure critical thinking of students on heat concept.

Generally, multimedia project refers to a combination of two or three types of media, such as tex... more Generally, multimedia project refers to a combination of two or three types of media, such as texts, images, animations, applications, and videos, and is easily decompiled. This research produces interactive multimedia with five types of media using ActionScript. Using an external XML file as the connector between interface and contents, this interactive multimedia becomes reusable and developable. This multimedia project is flash based with the extensions *.swf and *.exe. To protect from decompiling, the project uses layered encryption combined with As3Crypto encryption. Based on test results, Sothink SWF Decompiler software cannot decompile and display all the properties of the project. In this research ,the analysis highlights multiplatform, standalone, media types, content types, exercises system, responsive, reusability, developability, energy efficiency, layered encryption and independent learning. Based on test results, the project has been tested and participants declared that they can use all contents and navigations easily and it ran normally on the devices used.

In this research, we proposed ALDEBARAN (Air Control Device Based on Internet of Things), that is... more In this research, we proposed ALDEBARAN (Air Control Device Based on Internet of Things), that is, a device the HTTP protocol which can be applied as a protocol to communicate with the IoT ANTARES (Internet of Things Application and Technology Platform as your Reliable Solution) platform. Wi-Fi connectivity is needed to build a communication between devices and platforms, also to sends data continuously. Because the HTTP has a high overhead protocol resulting in waste of power consumption, so it needs to be optimized. The focus of this research is to optimize data communications on our device to create data communication and power saving efficiently. The method used is implementing the HTTP and MQTT protocols that are combined with several data transmission algorithms. Parameters such as latency and current consumption are compared and analysed to obtain the most optimal combination of protocols and algorithms. The result of this research is that MQTT protocol can be applied to our device and data communication with our scheme becomes more optimal.

This multimedia project is flash based with the extensions *.swf and *.exe. To protect from decompiling, the project uses layered encryption combined with As3Crypto encryption. Based on test results, Sothink SWF Decompiler software cannot decompile and display all the properties of the project. In this research ,the analysis highlights multiplatform, standalone, media types, content types, exercises system, responsive, reusability, developability, energy efficiency, layered encryption and independent learning. Based on test results, the project has been tested and participants declared that they can use all contents and navigations easily and it ran normally on the devices used.

In this research, we proposed ALDEBARAN (Air Control Device Based on Internet of Things), that is... more In this research, we proposed ALDEBARAN (Air Control Device Based on Internet of Things), that is, a device the HTTP protocol which can be applied as a protocol to communicate with the IoT ANTARES (Internet of Things Application and Technology Platform as your Reliable Solution) platform. Wi-Fi connectivity is needed to build a communication between devices and platforms, also to sends data continuously. Because the HTTP has a high overhead protocol resulting in waste of power consumption, so it needs to be optimized. The focus of this research is to optimize data communications on our device to create data communication and power saving efficiently. The method used is implementing the HTTP and MQTT protocols that are combined with several data transmission algorithms. Parameters such as latency and current consumption are compared and analysed to obtain the most optimal combination of protocols and algorithms. The result of this research is that MQTT protocol can be applied to our device and data communication with our scheme becomes more optimal.
