This study attempts to assess the reasons why no remarkable or visible changes have been witness in the economic system of any Muslim country in spite of that Islamic bank have been working since last three decades. In addition, it assesses that despite the climate is more favourable to Islamic banking yet Pakistan’s record in developing its own Islamic banking system has been very disappointing. The main objective of the paper is to focus specifically the development of Islamic Baking in Pakistan, which will enable the readers in understanding the evolution of Islamic Banking and will consequently enable them in evaluating its need in present times.
