This study aimed to determine whether agricultural extension activities have a role to play in the development of Agro-politan areas and what factors impact agricultural extension. Descriptive statistical analysis, correlation analysis, and factor analysis were used. Based on descriptive statistical analysis, it can be seen that agricultural extension agents play a role in three subsystems in the Agropolitan Area (input subsystem, process subsystem, and marketing subsystem). Based on the correlation analysis and factor analysis, three factors influenced agricultural extension's success, such as the participation of farmers, the performance of agricultural extensions, and the methods of the extension used.

Currently, Pujon Kidul Village is being affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. Recently community social capital has been seen as the main component to strengthen and function a community, particularly in supporting the COVID-19 Resilience Villages. Therefore, it is necessary to analyze the influence of social capital on decisions to take collective action and identify the condition of community social capital in supporting the development of the COVID-19 Resilience Villages. The approach used is a quantitative-qualitative approach by conducting questionnaires to 275 respondents and interviews with ten informants to dig deeper into the conditions of Pujon Kidul Village during the COVID-19 pandemic. The results of the questionnaires and interviews were then processed using CFA (Confirmatory Factor Analysis), SEM (Structural Equation Modeling), and descriptive analysis. The results of the analysis show that the social capital of the Pujon Kidul Village community has a direct influence on decisions to take collective action. In addition, the community's social capital already has a good condition and is based on a high sense of trust, involvement, and cooperation of the society. This is then considered to contribute to the success of the COVID-19 Resilience Village program.

Social capital, consisting of trust, networks, and norms, would encourage collective action to increase the development of village tourism/agritourism. Therefore, this study proposed more than one latent variable to define this social phenomenon and used a structural equation model (SEM) to predict those variables from the observed variables. The observed variables were two demographic data attributes namely income and education, while the latent were trust, networks, and norms, and were obtained from the question in the questionnaire survey. The results of the Mplus-SEM (Structural Equation Model), indicated that social capital facilitated collective action in societies and had a positive impact on land use protection. Furthermore, education and income as calculated variables directly influence the activities of collective action. The results also showed that higher levels of education influenced the respondents to work together to grow agritourism, in order to increase community income. Such a condition also influences young people to remain in the village, preserve land use as an agricultural system, and encourage sustainable agriculture.

Populations increase both naturally (birth and death) and unnatural (migration) encourages increasing demand for land. The city of Malang, one of the major cities of East Java province, is also facing the problem of land use change. The attraction of Malang as a major city and educational city in East Java could potentially drive change in land use, from agriculture to non agriculture, specifically to the use of settlements. From 2010 to 2015, the population grew by 7.7% and farmland decrease by 23%. The Lowokwaru district was chosen as part of this study because several universities are located in this district, so the demand for land for settlement is higher than in the other districts. The research objective is to predict the growth potential for settlement in 2035 using cellular automata by Landusesim application. The analysis shows that the planned settlement demand for 2035 is 1,433.62 hectares, while the available area is 682.15 hectares (sum of agricultural land and vacant land). On the basis of this forecast, if the policy is not implemented, Lowokwaru District of Malang City will not be able to provide land by 2035. The analysis show that the available land can only satisfy 47.58% total land demand.

Penggunaan lahan sawah mengalami penyusutan sekitar 6,19 % sedangkan lahan permukiman bertambah sekitar 5,46 %. Berdasarkan analisa fa...

This study determines the factors influencing the respondents' willingness to join CBO methane gas (biogas) for green energy in Mulyorejo Urban village and Karangnongko villages in Malang City and Malang Regency, respectively. Variables were determined using a logistic regression model. The chances of respondents' willingness to join were assessed through a probability analysis. This created a scenario with the highest likelihood of willingness. The results showed that the chances of the respondents entering Mulyorejo urban village could reach 99 % when factors such as employment, methane gas benefits, finance, education, as well as invitations from family, friends, neighbors, and government were involved. Also, the chances of respondents joining CBO methane gas in Karangnongko Village reached 99% when factors such as methane gas benefits, finance, social participation, as well as invitations from family, friends, neighbors, and government were involved.

Approach/Methodology/Design: The study uses panel data from 33 provinces from 2007 to 2015, so 297 observations. The analytical method uses two approaches, descriptive analysis with graphical comparison and panel regression analysis with a fixed-effect model. Findings: The results showed that inequality in the West is higher than inequality in the East. The results also found differences in factors affecting inequality in Western Indonesia Region (WIR) and Eastern Indonesia Region (EIR). The increase in electricity distribution and investment has a significant effect on reducing inequality at the WIR.
