The two researchers built a rejection sensitivity scale suitable for the age stage in the current study, and the scale consisted of (24) items. The validity and reliability of the scale were verified, as the two researchers used the following appropriate statistical methods: the T-test, Fakronbach, the Pearson correlation coefficient, and the re-application method.. The following results were obtained: Intermediate school students have an above average level of rejection sensitivity.

Matrix metalloprteinases (MMPs) are the common key enzymes in wound management, overexpression of MMPs can lead to chronic wounds and ulcers. Calendula officinalis extract has established its efficacy in treating wounds in folk medicine. In this research work, we will focus on the chemical constituents of this promising herb and will investigate its abilities to target matrix metalloprteinase-8 (MMP-8) and matrix metalloprteinase-9 (MMP-9) proteins through the usage of computer-aided drug design tools. In the current study, several promising dual inhibitors are identified, such as quercetin, isoquercetin, isorhamnetin, and isorhamnetin 3-O glycoside, they showed to be good inhibitors for both enzyme subtypes with greater docking score energies than RND-336, which has been reported as a selective MMP-9 inhibitor. Binding scores and amino acid interactions i...

Aim of the work: Purpose of this study was to assess the Effectiveness of Toxoplasma Surface Antigen Grade I for Diagnosis of Human Toxoplasma gondii in Egypt by Sandwich ELISA Technique. Subjects and Methods: This study was conducted on 94 individuals, divided to 3 categories, category I: Toxoplasma gondii, category II: Other parasites, It encompassed 10 infected patients that have E. histolytica and 14 infected with G. lamblia and category III: Healthy control group. Result: The cutoff value was 0.233 when detecting Toxoplasma (SAG1). The serum findings appear positive in 43 cases (86 per cent) of category I, whilst 7 cases (14 per cent) appear negative. In category II (patient with different parasites): 10 positive cases of Entamoeba histolytica have been confirmed, while other 14 cases were positive with G. lamblia. ...

This study aimed to detect the histopathological improvement accompanied with using Neem and Mirazid to treat schistosomiasis. A total of 120 Swiss Albino mice were categorized into 10 groups: 5 groups infected with S. mansoni and either treated with only Neem (400 mg/kg), only MZ (500mg/kg), a combination of Neem and MZ, praziquantel (PZQ, 200 mg/kg) or not treated. Other 5 control groups were not infected but acquired the same treated doses as the above groups. The study was done in

The areas of fibrosis and fatty replacement were analysed morphometrically, and biochemical measurements of pancreatic and plasma prolyl hydroxylase and of pancreatic collagenase were assessed. Male rats showed acute pancreatitis at 2-3 months of age, lesions that later underwent a transition to widespread fibrosis. The fibrosis then decreased, and the fibrotic tissue was replaced with adipose tissue. Morphometrically, the fibrotic area reached its maximal size when the rats were 4 months old, diminishing thereafter. The fibrosis occurred mainly in the intralobular space, and was principally attributable to type-III collagen. Type-I collagen scarcely appeared throughout the experimental period. α-Smooth muscle actin appeared in and around myofibroblasts that developed in an early stage and diminished later in accordance with the progressive manner of fibrosis. The plasma prolyl hydroxylase level was higher in males than in females from 4 through 10 months of age. Pancreatic collagenase activity in the males also increased during the same period. These findings suggest that pancreatic fibrosis in male WBN/Kob rats is affected by the balance between prolyl hydroxylase and collagenase.
