This research was conducted at SMA Negeri 1 Parung school year 2017/2018. The research method that was used is classroom action research (PTK) that was done two cycles. Each cycle consisted of four stages, such as planning, action, observation and reflection. The subjects of this research were students of class X IPA 5 which amounted to 37 people, consisting of 14 students were male and 23 female students. Multiple choice objective test that had been tested its validity and reliability used as research instrument. The results of this research showed that the application of cooperative learning model Student Team-Achievement Division (STAD) Combined Method of Exploring the Surrounding Environment can improve the results of students biology learning. The average outcome of the students biology learning in cycle 1 is 70,5 became 75,3 in cycle 2. From 37 students, achievement of the KKM experienced increasing that was 24 student (65%) in cycle 1 to 27 students (75%) in cycle 2. This obviously showed that the results of students biology learning have experienced improving from cycle 1 to cycle 2. Thus, the cycle 2 had full the indicator results achievement (IPH), as a percentage of the class had achieved 75%.

The method was classroom action research, which consists of 2 cycles. The results showed the activity of learners group in learning process in first cycle by 39.3% (low). In second cycle, activities learners group in learning process of 67.5% (high). An increase is in aspects of group activities, individual performance, and learning outcomes of students. This is due to the improvement in the learning process that measures the depth and breadth of the expressed prior knowledge, controlling the activity of students in the study group, the allocation of time for all the stages of learning can be accomplished and reward to motivate learners.
