Identification of T. b. rhodesiense in tsetse populations is essential for understanding transmission dynamics, assessng human disease risk, and monitoring spatiotemporal trends and impact of control interventions. Accurate detection and characterisation of trypanosomes in vectors relies on molecular techniques. For the first time in Malawi, a molecular technique has been used to detect trypanosomes in tsetse flies in Nkhotakota Wildlife Reserve.

This study aims to determine the planting density and amount of fertilizers being suitable for growing, well-developed, high-yielding in Thua Thien Hue province. Research results shown that planting density and fertilization did not significantly affect the germination rate and growth time of sunflower in the winter crop season. The density did not affect the number of green leaves on the plant, the diameter of the calyx, the diameter of the flower, and the durability of flowers. At the fertilization level of 90 kg N + 60 kg P2O5 + 90 kg K2O per one hectare had the highest numbers of green leaves per plant and the diameter of calyx, flower diameter, and flower durability were highest. Planting density and fertilization had an interaction affect on the plant growth and yield. The largest stem diameter was at t...

Our results generalize fixed point theorems in [1] and [7] for maps on metric spaces to the structure of S-metric spaces. Also, we give examples to demonstrate the validity of the results.

We study the most popular WOPs and find out the candidates for new Vietnamese words (NVWs) based on the phrase and word segmentation algorithm [7]. The best WOPs, which are used for recognizing and tagging NVWs, are chosen based on the support and confidence concepts. These concepts are also used in examining if a word belongs to a word class. Our experiments were examined over a huge corpus, which contains more than 50 million sentences. Four sets of WOPs are studied for recognizing and tagging nouns, verbs, adjectives and pronouns. There are 6,385 NVWs in our new dictionary including 2,791 new noun-taggings, 1,436 new verb-tagging, 682 new adj-taggings, and 1,476 new pronoun taggings.

Research paper thumbnail of Bootstrapping and Rule-Based Model for Recognizing Vietnamese Named Entity

Lecture Notes in Computer Science, 2014

ABSTRACT This paper intends to address and solve the problem Vietnamese Named Entity recognition ... more ABSTRACT This paper intends to address and solve the problem Vietnamese Named Entity recognition and classification (VNER) by using the bootstrapping algorithm and rule-based model. The rule-based model relies on contextual rules to provide contextual evidence that a VNE belongs to a category. These rules exploit linguistic constraints of category are constructed by using the bootstrapping algorithm. Bootstrapping algorithm starts with a handful of seeding VNEs of a given category and accumulate all contextual rules found around these seeds in a large corpus. These rules are ranked and used to find new VNEs. Our experimented corpus is generated from about 250.034 online news articles and over 9.000 literatures. Our VNER system consists 27 categories and more than 300.000 VNEs which are recognized and categorized. The accuracy of the recognizing and classifying algorithm is about 95%.

For each probabilistic model, new words are recognized and their syllables are linked together. The syllable-linking process improves the accuracy of statistical functions which improves contrarily the new words recognition. Hence, the probabilistic model will converge to the optimum one. Our experimented corpus is generated from about 250.000 online news articles, which consist of about 19.000.000 sentences. The accuracy of the segmented algorithm is over 90%. Our Vietnamese word and phrase dictionary contains more than 150.000 elements.

We relate this to works of Margalit-Spallone and Birman, Brinkmann and Kawamuro. Mainly, we use Veech's construction of pseudo-Anosov maps to give explicit pseudo-Anosov maps of vanishing Sah-Arnoux-Fathi invariant. In particular, we give new infinite families of such maps in genus 3.
