This involves consolidating with a new contribution to the development and application of a supply chain collaboration framework between automotive constructor and first-tier equipment suppliers to achieve the synchronous flow of components. The objective is to provide the automotive companies with a decision-making tool for selecting strategic suppliers to collaborate with, examining the collaboration context in terms of motivators, drivers, and barriers and evaluating the collaboration performance. Therefore, our contribution is structured as follows. As a first step, an overview of papers reporting on collaboration, lean supply chain, and synchronous flow is provided to identify the key elements of successful collaboration relationships. As a result, a preliminary framework is elaborated. The second step described the case study...

Among the operational measures to improve the circulation of the urban freight vehicles, the loading/unloading areas represent an opportunity for the organization of deliveries and the improvement of the fluidity of road traffic. In this context, the objective of this article is to use the dynamic simulation to study the impact of the implementation of loading/unloading areas on the road traffic in the case of a commercial street. From then on, this paper is split into two parts. In the first part, we presented the main usual notions in the field of road traffic. In order to initiate the choice of the simulation tool, we proposed an overview of models and tools for dynamic simulation of road traffic. In the second part of this work, we proposed a methodology for dynamic simulation of the impacts of the implementation of loading/unloading areas on the traffic flow at the level of a commercial zone.

Its practical scope is to provide a formality support for the development of decision-making tools in order to identify the principles of actions to develop and improve the UFT system. This work is split mainly into two parts. The first is concerned with the theoretical articulation carried out on the basis of a set of tools that allowed us to make our model emerge and to formulate hypotheses derived mostly from theoretical analyzes. The second part of this work includes the empirical study to test and validate our model in the field. To achieve this task, we adopted the Partial Least Squares (PLS) analysis, which allows us to evaluate the veracity of the causal links in our model. As a result, we conducted a survey of UFT officials and users in the city of Fez. We used a hypothetical-deductive approach based on a complementary methodology between the qualitative analysis and the support of the quantitative analysis.

To do this, we conducted a literature review of theoretical and empirical work that addressed this topic. At the end of this literature review, we formulated a set of hypotheses explaining the influence relationships between the factors identified and the performance of the UFT. To test the veracity of these hypotheses, we conducted an empirical study based on the Structural Equation Modeling estimated by the Partial Least Square (PLS) method. Our empirical analysis is based on data from a survey of the freight transport managers and users in the city of Fes. The scientific interest of this work is to present the decision makers of the city of Fez with recommendations to improve the development of freight transport.

With the lack of urban delivery schemes, commercial vehicles when loading and unloading have a significant negative impact on circulation causes traffic delay, congestion and safety risks. Motivated by the need to study the road occupancy of pickup-delivery vehicles, we addressed in this paper a data collection framework for planning, designing and conducting a vehicle observation-based freight survey. This study can provide a potential approach to conduct a diagnosis on urban freight vehicle movements, to study their impacts on urban traffic and to highlight extrapolation and adjustment relationships that allow for the transfer of its results to other cases without redoing these more resource-intensive investigations. Therefore, the document is organized as follows. In the first part, we proposed an overview of the type of urban freight transport survey. In the second part, we address the data collection fram...

We have supposed that difficulties encountered by partners in the forecasts come on one hand from the adaptation of existing statistical models and the other hand from the absence of collaboration and information sharing between partners. Our approach consist in a first step to present the role of forecasts in the relationship between supply chain partner’s and in a second step to recast the process of forecasting relying on a collaborative approach and to develop a scientific model for a monthly sales forecasting.

It offers an integrative framework of a set of performance indicators that respond to diverse stakeholder interests in this sector. To do this, we explained, at first, the concept of the BSC, its architecture, and perspectives. Secondly, we reviewed the research literature in order to provide a synthesis of the performance indicators of the UFT. Then, we designed the methodology of BSC for urban freight transport. These involve the specification of perspectives and themes, and the choice of performance indicators for each perspective.

In this perspective, we have apprehended the quality of care in three main dimensions: patient satisfaction, care providers’ satisfaction and the compliance with care standards established by the WHO. The literature relating to these dimensions shows that the areas of hospital logistics interferes with the determinants of satisfaction as well as the care quality standards. This led us to conclude that improving the quality of care depends on the efficiency of the logistics activities within hospitals. The methodology adopted was based on the synthesis of articles and scientific reports dealing with the following topics: quality of care, patients’ satisfaction, satisfaction of caregivers, hospital logistics.

To do this, several models and software simulations have been developed for very different purposes. The Traffic simulation is a tool to study the design and operation of facilities, to estimate the evolution of the traffic conditions on a network and to evaluate their consequences. Through this article, we propose an overview of the models and tools for modeling and simulating road traffic. At first, we start, through some definitions, to make an epistemological distinction between the notions of modeling and simulation in the field of traffic. We will then discuss the different modeling approaches used for the road traffic study. Subsequently, a classification of dynamic simulation tools and software will be presented.

This conflict results in traffic congestion, illegal parking, pollution and road safety problems. The challenge is to allocate public space between the right operating activities, parking activities, public transport and so on. To address that, urban logistics delivery bays, also known as loading/unloading (L/U) zones, have become a real solution to facilitate the delivery and pick-up operations of urban freight vehicles, ensure accessibility for delivery drivers, reduce congestion and improve road safety. Therefore, this paper reports on planning and enforcement of urban delivery bays needs. It is part of the urban freight transport (UFT) surveys. This involves consolidating with new contribution the development, implementation and statistical analysis of a survey in order to quantify the need of delivery areas. Compared ...

It represents a driving force for the economic dynamics and attractiveness of a city. It can be treated as all movements of goods necessary for the economic activities, the institutions and the residents of urban life. Through, it faces with problems relating to the congestion, unsafety, atmospheric and noise pollution that constrain its performance and hinder its development. This performance is a complex subject on which a great deal of research has emerged in the last decade. Accordingly, this paper aims to develop a model for assessing the performance of the UFT. The objective is to identify the determinants of the performance of the urban freight transport and measure the impact of each factor. Therefore the first part of this article concerns the elaboration of the model and the formulation of the hypotheses. First, an overview of the factors that could influence the performance of the UFT was ...
