Though these conditions are discussed in knowledge transfer literature, yet a comprehensive framework based on all the elements of transfer of knowledge is not available. This study has taken the basic two-person communication model into account and has defined two sets of conditions that are essential for the transfer of knowledge. The first tier of the framework is the communication nucleus which defines the elements of transfer of knowledge aligned with the two-person communication model whereas, the second tier of the framework spells out the conditionality for a successful transfer of knowledge. Two sets of conditions; one based on content factors labeled as necessary conditions and the other based on contextual factors labeled as supportive conditions are comprehensively explained. The framework claims that content factors are necessary for the transfer of knowledge and their absence will cease the transfer process whereas supportive condition accelerates the transfer process, their absence though may not cease the transfer process. The conceptual framework can be used as a set of policy guidelines for the knowledge management strategy formation and application within organizations along with creating the conducive environment required for creating and nurturing opportunities for transfer of knowledge.

Primary data from 555 faculty members from 10 public sector KP-HEIs was collected. Two-layer stratified random sampling was used to reach the unit of observation. Organizational culture assessment instrument (OCAI) developed by Cameron and Quinn (1999) was used for collecting data on the organizational culture of sampled HEI. The unit of observation was the faculty members of sampled HEI whereas the unit of analysis was the respective HEI. The output of the study was 10 organizational culture profiles of KP-HEI, outlining the organizational culture types, orientations, and dominant characteristics of each of the sampled KP-HEI. The majority of KP-HEI were found to have clan culture as a dominant organizational culture type, with an internal focus in strategic emphasis.

With the help of literature, current study developed two hypotheses regarding employee engagement, organizational commitment and organizational citizenship behavior. Educational sector was selected for the conducting of this study. Structured closed ended questionnaire was used for the collection of data. Using correlation and regression analysis, the study results showed that there is a significant positive relationship between employee engagement and organizational commitment and furthermore confirmed that there is a significant positive relationship between employee engagement and organizational citizenship behavior. This study provided beneficial insights about employee engagement in the education sector of Pakistan. The study concludes by discussing limitations and future research directions.

Web-enabled smart objects empower innovative services and applications for different domains and improve utilization of resources. In this paper, we propose an interoperable Internet-of-Things (IoTs) platform for a smart home system using a Web-of-Objects (WoO) and cloud architecture. The proposed platform controls the home appliances from anywhere and also provides the homes' data in the cloud for various service providers' applications and analysis. Firstly, we proposed a Raspberry PI based gateway for interoperability among various legacy home appliances, different communication technologies, and protocols. Secondly, we bring the smart home appliances to the web and make it accessible through the Representational State Transfer (REST/RESTful) framework. Thirdly, we will provide the cloud server for smart homes' to store the homes' data due to low storage capabilities at a gateway and provide the data for various application's service providers and analysis. In the proposed smart home platform, we implement a water-tank control using Zigbee communication, an automatic door security using a normal camera as an IP camera, and provide web connectivity to different home devices for web-based controlling. We aim to reduce the human intervention, secure access control to home devices from anywhere, provide smart homes data for application services as well as for analysis, and improve the utilization of resources.

A hypothetical model is tested based on social learning and media dependency theories. The response of 298 online users was analyzed by using Smart PLS-SEM. Results show that followers-influencers emotional attachment and perceived information quality promote the mediating role of followers’ perceived influence to increase the follower purchase intention. Contrary, influencer reputation does not moderate the effect of perceived influence on purchase intention. This study provides valuable input to companies that can help them design their influencers’ marketing strategies.

Many researchers study the relationship of conflict management styles and cultural dimensions specifically with individualism – collectivism. But these studies deal the culture at a national level aggregately. Hofsete’s demarcation of cultures in to individualistic and collectivistic cultures is the basic pillar of such studies in cross cultural comparisons of conflict management styles. In this study, an attempt was made to relate vertical and horizontal dimensions of individualism – collectivism with conflict management styles at sub-cultural level in Pakistan as all people in a presumed collectivistic /individualistic culture are not collectivists/ individualists. Getting support from literature, propositions are developed and a model is proposed. Future research directions and prospects are discussed.

In CR systems, nodes can switch to heterogeneous non-overlapping channels opportunistically which offer higher achievable throughput. However, the random channel selection policy in existing CR-MAC protocol has problems like delay, packet collisions, and quality of service. The proposed channel selection scheme which is quite different from the traditional scheme is adopted by nodes to achieve context awareness and intelligence for adaptive channel selection. The nodes select a channel based on the results learned by interactions with the other nodes and channels. The directional transmission power control scheme allows the nodes to reuse the channels subject to interference constraints. The simulation results show that nodes using the proposed algorithm can select channels adaptively and optimal transmission power which helps to achieve high throughput and minimized power consumption.

Contribution of demographic, socioeconomic status, language proficiency, job preferences, job search methods and nepotisms was also measured regarding thewaiting time for employment. Responses of 791 respondents collected through multi-stage non-probability sampling were analyzed with the help of the well-known Kaplan Meier and Cox regression models and Cox proportional hazard models. The study concluded that a graduate waited for 15 months to be employed during the period 2003-2014. Age, language proficiency, level of education, specialization, language proficiency, nepotism and socio economic factors have significant influence on waiting time for employment. The study recommends the development of integrated frame work for information about trends of unemployment, career counseling and elimination of unemployment at national level.
