Naturally occurring tumors in dogs have many biological similarities to human cancers, and respond similarly to conventional therapies. Thus, it can be inferred that human clinical protocols could be transferable for the treatment of dogs with cancer and that successful therapies in the treatment of these animals could be used for the treatment of human beings. Oncolytic virotherapy in dogs is the subject of this review article.
