The ethnographic method summarised qualitative data through indepth interviews and participatory observations for four months at the research site. Data analysis is sourced from primary data in the form of contact persons who know the identity of the data studied (elders, traditional leaders and indigenous youth) who have settled permanently. Research samples are taken purposively for data representation that must be valid and provide accurate and factual information. Secondary data in the form of literature references are also material for improving this research. The results showed a close relationship between Islam, the traditional house of the Limbungan community and the positioning of cultural tourism by the local government. The traditional house of the Sasak tribe of Limbungan Perigi has Islamic architectural values such as Bale (houses), roofs, walls, doors, floors, foundations, stairs, barns, and others. This value contains aesthetics, holistic education, manners, and social, cultural and economic values. Customs, traditions and Islam in the indigenous people of Limbungan Perigi are the subjects of a comprehensive study in this research.

Once Islam was widely spread out of Indonesia in 13th century, the teaching of Sufism had metamorphosed into a religious movement known as tarekat (Sufi order). Through tarekat movement, Islam in Indonesia has grew not only as a religion but also as a fundamental part of cultural entities in the country. Among these cultures is the Culture of Philosophy in Lombok. This article attempts to scrutinize the development of Tarekat Movement and the Culture of Philosophy in Lombok. These two aspects are analyzed through an anthropological study. The study finds that Tarekat Movement has played significant role in the growth of the Culture of Philosophy in Lombok. Through the Culture of Philosophy, the Muslim people in Lombok learn and understand Islam as a set of logical facts that teaches its adherents about the Divine Reality and wisdoms of life.

Hence, it is not surprising if many educational institutions, both public and private, prepared a curriculum based on the needs of the market. This fact can be seen in various of educational institutions in large cities. They are focused to form the economists that are reliable and able to compete in the marketplace. Some of them are Indonesian University which is famous by its well-established of economic faculty and Trisakti University which famous by highly developed of engineering faculty. By all of these educational institutions, religious course has merely been being positioned into morality teaching and the guide of life.
Being required discipline in Indonesia, religious education has become the core of learning process in an education institution called Madrasah. In Madrasah, various subjects in religion have been developed into syllabus system combining religion study, general study, and living study. Study of religion contains Islamic materials based on Kitab Kuning. Meanwhile general study has contained several knowledges such as, English, Biology, Sociology, Geography, Mathematics and local culture. And living study contains wisdom of life learning. The core of this model of learning has been committed to learning the harmony among the men, other living creatures, and the universe. By Madrasah, these materials are collected in the curriculum known as “Eco Curriculum”. In Indonesia at the recent time, this curriculum has been growing up among the madrassa, especially for those which have affiliation with Nahdlatul Wathan in East Lombok, Nahdlatul Ulama in East Java, and also among the Kampung Bambu which are developed by Boarding Schools in Banten.
As a curriculum model recently developed at Boarding school, eco curriculum has a new way in answering the challenges which are posed to the education world. It’s all about the capability of education world to balance the human life needs without destructing the nature. Of course, the challenges are currently difficult to be answered by the educational system outside the Boarding School system. Among the Boarding Schools that have succesfully constructed the eco curriculum and the green economic system is Hamzanwadi Boarding School in East Lombok.
By Hamzanwadi Boarding School, curriculum based on Ecology is combined with a general curriculum set by the government. Through this integrated curriculum approach, the Hamzanwadi Boarding School offers a new breakthrough for education in Indonesia which follow the global market needs. This breakthrough is directly associated with the vision to build a religious and creative independent economic zones as well as friendly to the environment. All of these have been built and developed in a partnership program between the students and the local community. One of them is an attempt to create 1 acre of dry land as productive green land with two citizens and one student as responsible person. With this mechanism, the Hamzanwadi Boarding School distinguishes itself with other boarding schools in Indonesia and also create a new tradition among the people. This tradition is known as the green tradition.

It was through these mediums that humanistic values spread out to the world as a constructive and peace views, and one amongst where humanistic values has spread is Indonesia.
In Indonesia, the scripts which had been used to write Islamic texts were Java and Kawi. Java scripts was the result acculturation between Arabic and Malay scripts. Meanwhile, Kawi was a mixture of Sansekerta and Javanese scripts. One of several regions which was influenced by these two kinds of scripts is Lombok, the province of West Nusa Tenggara.
