Parents during these times through difficult times resulting in a deteriorated physical state and a disturbed mental health expressed a high level of stress. Few studies that seek to study the impact of the disease on the lives of parents and to find out the links between this experience and the support provided to this population. A study protocol consisting of questionnaires, scales were used to measure the impact of cerebral palsy children and adolescents on the stress levels of their parents and to seek the links between perceived stress and the assured social support, 67 relatives (34 mothers and 33 fathers) of children with cerebral palsy participated in this global exploratory study, Most of our results support our hypothesis and confirm the literature in this field little studied in Morocco. (1) The magnitude is much larger in lowand middle-income countries. (2) The objective of our study is to study the impact of a nutritional supplement on the nutritional and neurocognitive health status of anemic children. Our study population is made up of 49 students diagnosed with anemia in Chefchaouen province. The school children were 8 to 14 years old, including 14 girls and 35 boys with an average weight of 37.63 kg ± 7.76 and an average height of 145.96 cm ± 9.53. Each student was clinically examined by the team doctor for signs suggestive of anemia, and received a multi-micronutrient daily for one month. A battery of measurements and tests was performed at the beginning and at the end of the treatment. According to the results of the study a statistically significant difference between hemoglobin of the first measurement 11.4 [10.2; 11.65] and that of t...

Adolescents with physical disabilities become more difficult to treat. This transition period often associated with disorders of behavior is an important factor in parental stress and causes deterioration in the quality of life. There are few studies that seek to assess the impact of cerebral palsy on the quality of life and mental health of parents.A study protocol consisting of questionnaires, scales and grid clinical interview were distributed and completed by 67 relatives (34 mothers and 33 fathers) of children with cerebral palsy, to measure the impact of the weakness of their children on their psychological and social well- being and their quality of life. Most of our results support our hypothesis and confirm data from the literature in this area little studied in Morocco. Indeed it seems that the suffering of parents with cerebral palsied c...

All individuals are vulnerable to stress, to varying degrees, and each has a potential for it to ... more All individuals are vulnerable to stress, to varying degrees, and each has a potential for it to increase its competence to deal with it. Parents of children with cerebral palsy through difficult periods in their lives, resulting in a disturbed mental health, expressed a high level of stress. Rare are the studies which launch out to study the impact of the disease on the mental state of the parents and identify factors associated with the development of perceived stress in this population. A descriptive cross-sectional study was conducted among a sample of 67 relatives (34 mothers and 33 fathers) of children with cerebral palsy. Scales and questionnaires were used with the aim to identify the level of perceived stress of parents with children and adolescents suffering from cerebral palsy compared between mothers and fathers and to determine the factors associated with perceived stress among parents. Most of our results support our hypothesis and confirms the data of the literature in a field little studied in Morocco. Indeed it seems that the parents of children and adolescents with cerebral palsy suffer from high levels of stress, suffering seems more pronounced in mothers than in fathers whose partners are factors related to gender (female) , marital status (divorce) and the socioeconomic level (law). The sample size is small and the comparison group is absent. Similar research would be interesting if it would cover a wider range in order to extrapolate results and develop a coping strategy of adaptation and support. We should find the solutions helping families to overcome this deteriorated experience and break their isolation to reduce their stress and improve their conjugal balance.

These disorders can have vital consequences dependent on the pneumonia generated by the false roads. This descriptive study was undertaken on a sample of 65 child and teenager suffering from CP between 2 and 17 years old, in the NorthWest of Morocco. For that we used the Gross Motor function Classification System, Expanded and Revised (GMFCS-E & R) and a questionnaire of evaluation of the feeding and swallowing. Thus 10,8% of the patients were classified on level I of the GMFCS, 7,7% on the level II, 10,8% on the level III, 33,6% on level IV and 35,6% on the level V. 36,6% of children and 45,8% of teenagers presented frequent bronchial superinfections and that 51,2% of children and 54,2% of teenagers suffer from disorder of the transit,-standard constipation without laxative treatment-. 85,4% of children and 50% of teenagers need a third person to be fed, 70,7% of children and 54,2% of teenagers present false roads while drinking as 31,7% of children have orofacial malformations against 16,7% of teenagers. The retraction of the upper lip was observed at 73,2% of children against 29,2% of teenagers. Labial gripping during the feeding remains impossible at 82,9% from the total of children and 70,8% of the teenagers. Our study with also highlighted the existence of correlations between the GMFCS and which has occurred of false roads while eating and while drinking respectively with r=0,47 and r=0,77. It is necessary to bring to this population of children and teenagers the adapted and effective care, so that they will test a better quality of life.

This cross-sectional study assesses child nutritional status using UMA and UFA. It also evaluates the suitability of upper arm muscle area by height (UAMAH) for assessing child under-nutrition with respect to stunting and wasting. The study was conducted among 1248 children (619 boys; 629 girls) aged 5-12 years belonging to the Bengalee Muslim Population of West Bengal, India. Anthropometric measurements of height, weight, mid-upper arm circumference and triceps skin-fold were recorded. Nutritional status was assessed using UMA, UFA and UAMAH. Percentile curves were derived using the least median square method. Mean age specific values of UMA, UFA and UAMAH of boys and girls were markedly below the 5th percentile. Using UAMAH, a very high proportion of children (boys, 91.28%; girls, 88.55%) were found to be under-nourished. Prevalence of stunting (boys, 39.74%; girls, 41.49%) and wasting (boys, 19.55%; girls, 15.74%) were also found to be high. The combination of UMA, UFA, UAMAH and conventional nutritional indices appear to be useful for assessment of child under-nutrition.

Execution of this therapy is essentially based on five physical phenomena namely gravity kinetic effort the mechanics of airflow outside forces and vibrations. After a review of anatomy and physiology the guide reports two physical therapy evaluations comprised of patient interviews targeting the age and functional symptomology the functional signs characterized by dyspnea coughing and expectoration. The subjective assessment focuses on the morphological study of the thorax and the neighboring regions its inspection and palpation and the observation of respiratory symptoms in the subject. As for the objective assessment it targets thorax expansion evaluation of the strength of the respiratory muscles thoracoabdominal coordination and current spirometric parameters and a standard physical therapy chart used in current practice.
